If I were you I'd put a nice big coat on plus hat, scarf and gloves Hope it goes well, best of luck

btw I started a thread in chat yesterday asking how ninah is, someone has posted today to say she's having a really hard time atm

Squirrel3 · 22/02/2006 09:46

I saw it, I hope she is ok, I had hoped that things were geting better for her.

Do you think I would get away with turning up like this?

claire7676 · 22/02/2006 12:11

Too lat to say good luck squirrel, so hope it went well!! I'm full of cold, DD has kindly shared with me, just called dh to call in sick from being a mum, but he just laughed!!! I meant it!!!!!!! Told dss at the weekend that he's gonna get another brother / sister and hes really excited. (Breathes out huge sigh of relief.....) Started ANOTHOR row with BM though, any excuse I think, as last time it was wrong not to tell her and this time it was wrong to tell her. ARGHHHHH

workingmumnhs · 22/02/2006 12:18

sorry i'm a bit behind on all this. Congratulations Claire, how far along are you

NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 12:18

I'm OK too workingmum thank you. I'd stay off the rest of the week if I were you - not worth going back for 2 days

claire, us stepmums can't do right for doing bloody wrong with BM can we?? Bugger her I say, whatever you do will be wrong!! When's your baby due?

workingmumnhs · 22/02/2006 12:22

i only do mon-thurs so it would only be one day
but i'll have to come up with a good excuse she is expecting me bak

workingmumnhs · 22/02/2006 12:25

claire what ever you said would be wrong, I gave up trying to please Bm a while a go. I just try to out do her now, seeing her go green amuses me (Evil laugh)

NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 12:30

I never attempted to please BM in the first place so I can't really claim to have given up trying

clarie sorry you're feeling ill - there's so much about lately, please don't send it through the computer to us

claire7676 · 22/02/2006 12:30

Never a truer word spoken NAAM, I just wish it didn't get to me so much, have to toughen up I think! Just thought after a few years it would have calmed a little. How wrong! Baby is due in August, so relieved about dss reaction, mind you, he is excellent with dd, plays with her for hours. Consequently she hero worships him. Contact is still not stable and we tend to see dss for 6 mths, then not at all for 6 mths. dd was only 4 mths when he stopped coming, and 10 mths when he ataretd again but I'd bet my life she remembered him. Amazing really. Workingmum, can't you have a relapse tomorrow and when you call say you were SO sure you'd be well enough....

workingmumnhs · 22/02/2006 12:31

I wonder how Squirrel interview is going. She'll be there by now won't she. What is it for

claire7676 · 22/02/2006 12:32

LOL working mum!!!

workingmumnhs · 22/02/2006 12:34

I like it Claire.

I could say that it has come back with avengencance and I'll come in if I am absolutely needed but i don't want to put the patietns at risk. After all they are all over 70 and suseptible to bugs

She can't refuse
CanShe?

What makes it worse is she is a ward manager at 29. Two years older than me. (I really do feel sick now)

After all, you only have the patients best interests at heart don't you .......

workingmumnhs · 22/02/2006 12:48

Of course I do. I wouldn't be staying off jsut decause I wanted to now would I

workingmumnhs · 22/02/2006 12:52

www.amusingquotes.com/h/m/Men_1.htm

How funny are these ( and true)

NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 12:52

Sounds fair to me - can't be seen to be putting patients at risk, specially at their age....

Think squirrel said the interview was for a job in an estate agents, she's done that type of thing before

So a summer baby claire, how lovely Do you know if it's a boy or girl, or don't you want to know?
