Wish I had a week off, not got any time off till Easter which is just over 7 weeks away!! Could book a couple of days I suppose but I want to save my holidays for later in the year...7 weeks will soon go though - so I keep telling myself

Got a bit of a dodgy neck - pulled it getting out of bed! - but I'm fine apart from that

How's everyone else?

NotActuallyAMum · 20/02/2006 10:39

btw workingmum that "gry" thing was bugging me so much I googled it and found this

Please slap whoever asked you the question for me

Squirrel3 · 20/02/2006 14:36

Cor, is everybody busy today then?

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 20/02/2006 14:39

BTW NAAM, I've heard all of the excuses to stay in bed now!

"I pulled my neck getting out of bed, I'd better get back in and stay there".

Only pulling your leg, hope it gets better soon.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 20/02/2006 14:43

lol Squirrel

Neck's getting better - I seem to be doing this quite a lot just lately, don't know if it's the way I get out of bed or how I have to twist my body round to avoid burning my ar*e on the radiator but this is the 3rd time in as many months!! Never mind, I'll live

How are you? Hope you're feeling better. A work colleague/friend of mine went to Dublin at the weekend and came back with "the bug" - she spent half of her weekend away in bed, bless her

Squirrel3 · 20/02/2006 14:48

I'm still 'sniffy' (have I just made that word up?) and I seem to have good days and bad days, but I am getting better thanks. Your poor friend, I hope she gets better soon.

Move your bed!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 20/02/2006 15:04

Nothing wrong with 'sniffy' - I make up words all the time, I know what I mean even if no-one else does

Yes the bed could do with moving a bit, then again it wouldn't be such a problem if I lost some weight

Wonder if tarantula got things sorted with her dss? Hope she's OK

Squirrel3 · 20/02/2006 15:17

I'm sure that she will let us know as soon as she can. Her and her dp seem level headed and sensible people, I'm sure they will sort it out.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 20/02/2006 15:28

Yes that's true - I wish I had her level head sometimes

I'm putting the final plans in place for the weekend - DPs birthday on Saturday, taking him to watch his football team with dsd then my BIL is bringing dsd home and we're staying overnight in Derby and going to a mexican restaurant. Really looking forward to it, just hope nothing goes wrong!!

Squirrel3 · 20/02/2006 15:50

I hope he enjoys it!

You football mad people!!!

The overnight stay and the resturant sounds lovely tho!

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 20/02/2006 15:54

Or should that be 'mad football people'?

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 20/02/2006 16:06

Either would be true

It's dsd birthday next Tuesday too - we're taking her to watch an England friendly next Wednesday in Liverpool. I didn't want to go because it's a heck of a trek for us, specially when we've got to be up early for work, but DP really wanted to go. Means I have to finish work at 2:30 and we won't be home till about 1:30 in the morning. I wouldn't mind if it was a "proper" game but to go through all that hassle for a friendly seems like a real waste of effort. I might just be ill

Squirrel3 · 20/02/2006 16:09

Oh, yes I'm sure my germs will have gone through the computer and through cyber space to you by then.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 20/02/2006 16:21

Do you know I can feel it coming on already

Actually it's a bit early yet - and I can't be ill for DPs birthday

Wonder where everyone else is??

NotActuallyAMum · 20/02/2006 16:22

btw I should have said when I have to be up early for work - DP is not at work next Thursday so he can have a lie-in!!

Squirrel3 · 20/02/2006 16:27

Oh well, you should defo be ill then.

workingmumnhs · 20/02/2006 19:14

I've found many answersto the riddle. None I am cinvinced with. TOld you it was annoying

NotActuallyAMum · 20/02/2006 20:02

It certainly had me going

I got sworn at today at work for telling someone it was Christmas day in just over 10 months Well I thought it was funny...

workingmumnhs · 21/02/2006 09:32

That is the kinda thing I say. Don't get sworn at but the reaction is the same. It is good to be prepared tho other wise you'll suddenly realise it is December and you have nothing

NotActuallyAMum · 21/02/2006 09:48

My thoughts exactly workingmum I've got 24 people to buy for and I get paid monthly so I'm aiming for 2 a month

Are you enjoying your week off? It's half term here in Derbyshire so quite a few people at work are off this week

How's everyone else today?

workingmumnhs · 21/02/2006 10:03

i'm meant to be sick so i can't go anywhere. am on holiday next week but MIL wanted me to take this week off as dd is on half term.
i don't get to take her to school anyway. if
i took half term off i still wouldn't so i am pulling a duvet week to keep her happy. honestly it is like living with my mum again but i can't say anything cos she has done so much for me.

Squirrel3 · 21/02/2006 10:47

NAAM, Christmas in just over 10 months!

P*$$ O££!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 21/02/2006 11:23

lol squirrel That's pretty much what I was told yesterday by my boss

Squirrel3 · 21/02/2006 12:14

Ahhhhhhhhh! I've got 5mins on here! Been rushing around all day.

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 21/02/2006 12:22
