Oh, you wouldn't like his music, I don't like his music, he's into that horrible Metal music where it sounds as if they are just growling and shouting at each other!!!!!

I actually like rock (being an ex biker chick) but this 'music' is awful.

I like some of his 'softer' stuff, he is actually a very talented guitarist (inherited from his mum obviously)

Believe it or not I have sung at the Royal Albert Hall, (along with countless other venues) and as Robbie Williams has sung on that stage I tell people that I have sung on the same stage as Robbie (I don?t mention the fact that it was several years before).

lol Sounds like one of the guys I work with. I like rock and heavy metal too but his stuff is just taht wee bit too much for me even.

When did you sing at the albert Hall? Am very impressed

NotActuallyAMum · 07/02/2006 12:05

Squirrel you are very talented

You wouldn't want to hear my singing, it's that bad even I can't stand it - have to turn the volume up so that I can't hear myself

Squirrel3 · 07/02/2006 12:10

I used to do musicals when I was younger (pre motherhood). I have been in quite a few, I have even sung with (get the name dropping ) Elaine Paige.

The Albert Hall one I had to audition along with about 200 others and I got one of the lead roles!!! When it actually came to opening day I was wandering around London and somehow tripped and sprained my ankle. I had to have it strapped up, go on and sing and dance like a true proffesional! Doh, it could only happen to me!

And seeing as I'm 'bragging' I play several Instruments too!!!!

I'm really embarrassed now!!!

Squirrel3 · 07/02/2006 12:25

Oh No! Now you all think I am a big head!

This is me on my motorbike!!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 07/02/2006 12:26

NotActuallyAMum · 07/02/2006 12:27

PMSL

Squirrel3 · 07/02/2006 12:33

No not clever, I was just very luck that me Nan encouraged me to achieve whatever I wanted to do.

She was fantasic, she used to run me here, there and everywhere for auditions and music lessons. she made me believe that I can do anything I want to do if I work hard enough and believe in myself.

My mother on the other hand never even saw me on stage and always told me that I would never amount to anything!

Thank God for my Grandparents, I wouldn't be as 'sane' as I am if it wasn't for them. (notice I did put sane in inverted coma's)

Actually ds's band has a web-site, I'll have to try to decide wether to put the link up or not. I'll ask him, but it wouldn't take much working out for anybody who knows me in RL to discover who I am.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I feel I must protect my sectet identity

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 07/02/2006 12:50

Squirrel3 · 07/02/2006 13:10

You wear a fleece to work!

I imagined you going to work looking lkie this !!!!!

BTW si this you and dp?

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 07/02/2006 13:18

I wear a fleece too In fact I've got 3 of them, one doesn't fit me any more though - too small

Only ever wear make-up when I go out, can't be arsed with it for work

Squirrel3 · 07/02/2006 13:26

I wear make-up everyday, I always wear mascara because my eyelashes are blonde and you can't see them without mascara.

Does that make me a tart?

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 07/02/2006 13:33

lol Squirrel

My sister works in the shop where I call for my paper in the mornings, she was telling me this morning that there's a 14 year old girl who goes in there with her mum and her mum has to get her up at 5:30 every morning, otherwise she wouldn't have time to do her hair and make-up for school. I'd say "set your alarm and get your flippin' self up!"

tarantula · 07/02/2006 14:02

love the viking outfit Squirrel. Def suit me for work Can just see the looks of the dog walker on the common as I whizz past in that

5:30 to put on make up? the child must be mad. I get up at 6.50 and leave the house at 7 . Have breakfast etc at work.

NotActuallyAMum · 07/02/2006 14:26

Same here tarantula - I get up at 7:15, out of the house for half past. Think the mum is more mad than the daughter myself - it'd take a heck of a lot to get me out of bed at 5:30, there's only one half past 5 in the day for me

Squirrel3 · 07/02/2006 15:05

I have a shower and blow dry my hair in the mornings and put make up on, I must be a tart!!!!

Don't get up at 5.30 though, get up at 7am out of the door by 8am, BTW I do have breakfast and a couple of cups of tea too (got to have at least two cups or I can't function).

OP posts:
tarantula · 07/02/2006 15:11

I do the breakfast nad tea at work Squirrel Might as well get paid while I'm doing it. Also change and wash when I get in too.
