But how do you wake up enough to ride your bike all of that way without tea and brekkie?

Spiders must be made of stern stuff!

I'm not awake tho. I do it in my sleep on auto pilot well the first part anyway which is very quiet roads and a park. The cold air atm does tend to wake me up quite quickly which is not very nice but is effective.

Squirrel3 · 07/02/2006 15:24

I couldn't do it! It would kill me I'm sure.

Walking to the end of my road to get the bus is bad enough!!!!!

I thoguth you leapt through the trees with the greatest of ease to get to work (abit like the fella in that advert who wants to get home in time to watch his fav programme)

How do you get to work Naam. Actually I thought I was unusual in not having tea etc before leaving the house Guess Im not then

NotActuallyAMum · 07/02/2006 15:30

No way could I cycle 22 miles a day!! Haven't been on a bike for ooooohhhhh must be, erm, at least 15 years - probably longer. Can't even force myself onto the exercise bike never mind a real one

NotActuallyAMum · 07/02/2006 15:32

I drive - it's just over 6 miles through country lanes, takes me 15 minutes at the most

Squirrel3 · 07/02/2006 15:33

DP and I decided to ride bikes around Bewl Water Fishing Lake in the summer last year. It was hilarious, I hadn't ridden a bike since I was a kid and I didn't know how to work the gears. I was wobbling about all over the place. My legs (and other places) were hurting, dp couldn't stop laughing at me.

I decided that squirrels were not meant to ride bikes so I walked back to the car got my fishing rod, hired a boat and went to catch some trout!!!!

Squirrels like boats!

Are you related to Ratty then? 'There is nothing, absolutely nothing half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats'. You should take that as your motto you know.

Hello, got an early dart from work. Tried all that with the speakers and they still don't work. They are separate and wee working fine when DD had cbeebies websiter on full blast on sunday, since then nothing.
I drive a 50cc scooter does that count as a biker chick. (My hairdryer on wheels.)
As to the morning routine, I set the alarm for six and ignore it till half past, (Unless the cat has been attacking my toes since five)Tumble downstairs and make a cup of tea. Sit infront of GMTV comatose until Seven when I have to get dressed or I'll miss the bus. Up, dressed, DD up, and wrapped in ten blankets, delivered to MIL up the road and on the bus by 7.25. Arrive at work at 7.45 in time for more tea b4 work at 8.00 (By 8.30 the two cups of tea have worked their way down and i need a toilet break, which I make last as long as possible)

tarantula · 07/02/2006 15:58

I can't cope with any food or drink first thing in the morning but I have a cup of tea when I get to work. And I never bother with the telly, don't think I could take anything in anyway when I've only just got up

tarantula · 07/02/2006 16:05
