Just posted Surfermum a message. I read the link to the thread when she posted late at night after a few drinks - PMSL

Squirrel3 · 03/02/2006 12:32

I've just had a thought!!!!!

Why don't we have a 'girls night in' one evening while the dp's are out, get really pi$$ed, (whilst on here) then look the following day to see which one of us is the most embarrassed?

Got to get Surfermum here too, cos she is really funny after a glass or two! Yes, I PMSL at that thread too Surfermum!!!!!!!!

That's a great idea Squirrel!! I'm up for it

tarantula · 03/02/2006 12:46

I'll be up for it too as soon as I get my computer up and running at home.

Squirrel3 · 03/02/2006 12:46

We will have to organise it for one evening when your dp is working nights and see how many of us we can get to join in.

Moi????? I'm a good, innocent, Catholic girl me. Honest!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 03/02/2006 12:52

It'll have to be either Friday or Saturday so that none of us have to be up for work. Hope we can get the new girls to join in too

DP does nights every 4 weeks and he starts tonight, his next "nights" weekend will start on March 4th sooooo tarantula you have 4 weeks to get your computer up and running Workingmum is a nurse isn't she so we may have to work round her shifts too. Don't know what biglips and bm3sm2 do for a living, must ask them [nosey emoticon]

NotActuallyAMum · 03/02/2006 14:50

NotActuallyAMum · 03/02/2006 15:09

I don't envy you having to cycle home - I haven't been on a bike for years. Do you have far to go? You live in London too don't you so I bet the traffic's horrendous

Surfermum · 03/02/2006 15:13

Oi! If you're gonna talk about me do it on msn! . It is blimmin freezing here too. I love the sound of a night's boozing on here. Actually I just love the sound of a night's boozing wherever it is!! It's great on here late at night when people have had a few.

biglips · 03/02/2006 15:16

NotActuallyAMum · 03/02/2006 15:22

Hello Surfermum glad you're up for it, I can't wait now

Hello biglips - are you up for a boozy night on here with us?

tarantula · 03/02/2006 15:22

Yes NAAM I do ahve far to go. Its about 11 miles reckon which takes about an hour but is quicker than the tube and train. Traffic's not too bad as I'm not right in central London and I cut across Wimbledon Common too which is nice Still I warm up once I get going.

i do miss coming on here in the evenings. Might take some time out this weekend and see what dd and I can do with a few screwdrivers and my machine.

NotActuallyAMum · 03/02/2006 15:29

So you cycle 22 miles a day??? Bet you need all your 8 legs for that Tee hee, that was really clever for me on a Friday afternoon, I'm getting warmed up for our booze night

tarantula · 03/02/2006 15:33

yeah all the legs come in useful. I jsut swop when one pair gets tired. Its great

biglips · 03/02/2006 15:34

no sorry as im off out with my mates as havent been out for ages

hope you have a good nite on here xx

NotActuallyAMum · 03/02/2006 15:39

biglips it's not tonight - don't know when it'll be yet but keep looking and we'll let you know

lol at the legs tarantula

bm3sm2 · 03/02/2006 15:41

You are brave cycling that far especially in the winter. I'm just not a winter person AT ALL! I have recently started walking to try and get a bit fitter, hate the gym, but I can see it falling to the wayside if this cold spell keeps up.

I'm all in for a girls night in! How weird would that be quietly getting drunk on your own (though not really on your own iuswim!)

I am a team manager for a french childrenswear company, best thing is that it fits in with my disfunctional family (!) and I don't have childcare costs like I would if I still worked 9-5. Does anyone else here work from home?

Just getting ready to pick up sd x 2 at five. Hubby has lost his licence until end march so I have to do all the running, pi**es me off sometimes as I know I get a frosty response or none at all from the bm. {{{{{{quietly sitting getting self all worked up about going}}}}}}}

biglips · 03/02/2006 15:48

ok im up for it!!!

tarantula · 03/02/2006 15:50

Good luck with picking up the kids bm3sm2. Its our weekend 'off' as it were this weekend. We are going to go out for a short cycle this weekend I think despite the cold as I want to get some reeds to make a bridgets cross. might even take a picnic and a nice flask of tea too (dss used to LOVE doing this even in the middle of winter, mad child that he is )
