Well Anne Hathaway should be happy now!!

She had an Arsenal shirt over her shoulder on the Devil Wears Prada 2 red carpet 😍

Scoobydoobydoo19 · 25/04/2026 19:59

Still need a point at Exeter next week, who need 3 to stay up. 😬

Pleased for York as it's my old stomping ground. Lost my signal when I went to my seat at Valley Parade so I had no idea York had equalised until I came out 😂 I would have liked to have watched that.

Matildahoney · 26/04/2026 08:41

Gutted about yesterday's result, had lots of hope, but City attacked the whole of the second half so expected them to win! We definitely missed Manning, things could have been different with him I think, but we gave a solid performance and didn't get hammered.
Now to finish the league strong and hopefully win the playoffs.

my parents used to live in York and i was up for a visit the day they beat Arsenal. (obvs i have a VERY long memory) and the entire city was a madhouse.

I wasn't even a twinkle in my dad's eye back then! I was wondering why I didn't remember it!

forgot to add that, much to Mr Bref's amusement, i am now following Arbroath on Twitter and FotMob

Watched MOTD for first time in ages this morning! For palace Liverpool highlights. They have a good goalie. Good goal from palace. Took advantage of keeper being down and Liverpool should’ve defended the goal area more. Pity we didn’t at least get a tie. How can we get Glasner and Mateta to stay?! I like Glasner. We need more stability!

Tarkan · 26/04/2026 17:56

Weirdly after DH and I talking about the red card for the Plymouth goalie yesterday, the same thing happened early in the Edinburgh derby as well. Hibs now down to 9 men so the next half hour is going to be nail biting.

Gutted about Motherwell’s late goal earlier. For a few minutes we had 3 teams all on 70 points at the top of the league.

Tarkan · 26/04/2026 18:30

DH defo not happy after that match but don’t blame him.

TheVeloursImgonnaChangeNsoul · 26/04/2026 18:39

Well done Motherwell.
Always nice to see orcs getting upset.

burblish · 26/04/2026 19:39

Cor, Hibs have some fight in them - how did they hang on for so long with first ten and then nine men?! The Scottish title race is a real nailbiter this season and I'm loving it! (Plus St Johnstone (for whom I have a real soft spot) won promotion - woohoo!)

Itstheyearitstarts · 26/04/2026 20:33

DH is a Hibs fan, walked in and said ‘I don’t want to talk about it!’. He wants rid of David Gray and is desperately hoping Hearts don’t win the league!

TheNewGaard · 28/04/2026 21:21

PSG looking a bit scary...

TheNewGaard · 28/04/2026 21:33

Bayern not too shabby either!

DuncinToffee · 28/04/2026 21:34

Who would you prefer?

I prefer Bayern personally but what a game!

I think I'd rather play Bayern, but it's not going to be easy either way!

Comefromaway · 28/04/2026 22:09

How the heck did Vale beat Stockport

burblish · 29/04/2026 21:24

The way refs interpret handball in European competitions is a joke - neither last night's penalty against Bayern or tonight's against Arsenal would have been given in the Premier League. At least that's one thing the English refs get right compared to their European counterparts. It's absurd, though - surely the rule should be applied in the same way regardless of the competition?

JasonTindallsTan · 29/04/2026 21:36

At least there is consistency across the champions league competition. The one given against us when we were playing PSG in 23/24 is one of the most ludicrous decisions I’ve ever seen given but I’ve been slightly mollified by the fact that similarly ridiculous ones have been given consistently across the competition.

At least we know what to expect, any kind of ball meeting hand/arm incident is given. That clarity is welcome at least.

Itstheyearitstarts · 29/04/2026 21:43

That being overturned is a complete joke.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 29/04/2026 21:48

I actually agree with both handball penalties given last night and tonight.

If you don't want to concede a penalty then keep your arms behind your back.

Ben White should have known that after last night.

Yes, if that wasn't a penalty I don't know what is.

It’s becoming a joke now with some of these decisions.

TheNewGaard · 29/04/2026 21:59

The ref wasn't too bad in the first half, but he might as well have given the whistle to Simeone in the second half!
