That's why Everton fans kept hold of these signs

(they were used at the Chelsea game)

Agree with all of this.

But re Haaland not going down. Of course, I am very grateful that he didn't and Gabriel was very foolish, but as far as I saw, Gabriel barely touched him, let alone head butted him, and so a man mountain like Haaland going down would have been so ridiculous that probably didn't even occur to him to go down.

for me, no matter how hard, he nutted an opposing player. He deserved a red for that and was lucky to get away with it.

It is the same for tall players like Vestergaard who is so tall that he is constantly getting yellow cards for elbowing players in the head - it is wrong, but what is a ref to do?

I quite like York.

I similarly feel the same for Rochdale and what fans of both clubs have gone through over the years.

Their league positions at the end of the season, whatever they are, form a good argument against play offs. No ill will towards the other teams who will be in the National League play offs, but even the possibility of not going upon with 105 or 107 points is plain wrong.

Thing is all it does is encourage players to play act even more, because Gabriel absolutely should have been sent off, the fact he didn’t because Haaland didn’t throw himself to the floor means in future players will go down to ensure the correct decision is arrived at.

I feel a bit sorry for Rosenior - he was cutting his teeth at Strasbourg, doing a decent job and showing promise, but was clearly not ready for Chelsea. He probably couldn't say no when they came calling but the timing wasn't right. I hope it won't set back his managerial career, especially as a young, English, black manager. At least he should get a hefty payout, being only three months into a 4.5 year contract!

Sky have just said that there was a break clause in his contract, so he won't be getting as much everyone thought.
