Down the table we gooo!! Liams appointment was silly way way over his head. Not his fault! They wanted a yes man/someone theyre already connected to. I cant see him staying and if not hope he goes onto do well!

Sad also whats happened to Leicester! From winning the league 10 years ago to falling

Cuwins · 21/04/2026 23:17

Another great win for us but gosh Chelsea were awful.
It is always extra satisfying to beat them given how much they have spent buying our players and back room staff!

From winning the league 10 years ago to falling.

That exact thought also crossed my mind. I’m quite sad for them.

Mr Bref will be happy, he is still cross that Boro's trainer went there.

Any Bournemouth fans here? you're getting Marco Rose as trainer, ex-Gladbach (went to Leipzig so dead to me). Jürgen Klopp described him as the most handsome trainer in the Bundesliga...

Just looked up MR and he is very handsome!

Fandango52 · 21/04/2026 23:48

Anyone with a crystal ball care to share what the end-of-season outcome will be for Tottenham? I was in two minds whether to ask, as I probably won’t like the prediction or the actual result, but curiosity got the better of me. I’m just so gutted that they’re in this position they’re in right now.

DuncinToffee · 22/04/2026 07:54

Not a crystal ball but someone on my timeline does this table if that helps?

I thought they might wait until the end of the season, but it was definitely coming.

Boehly is going to find out that the best managers aren't yes men. Or if he doesn't, Chelsea are going to go into free fall.

TheNewGaard · 22/04/2026 18:31

And here's a job you'd need danger money for...

To be fair that’s another one you might need danger money for

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 22/04/2026 19:21

Just read that Chelsea will not be able to have a goal of the month competition this month!

Mind you we won't have many to choose from either.

Coventry win the Championship title

Leicester relegated to League 1

My best friend's team is Cov.

I feel a bit sorry for Rosenior - he was cutting his teeth at Strasbourg, doing a decent job and showing promise, but was clearly not ready for Chelsea. He probably couldn't say no when they came calling but the timing wasn't right. I hope it won't set back his managerial career, especially as a young, English, black manager. At least he should get a hefty payout, being only three months into a 4.5 year contract!

He was terrible, a really bad appointment. He also talked complete bullshit in every interview. That doesn’t mean he was a bad manager but was so inexperienced for that job though.

burblish · 22/04/2026 22:01

Burnley and Port Vale officially relegated tonight ☹️ I wish them well for next season.

Comefromaway · 22/04/2026 22:25

I quite like York.

Itstheyearitstarts · 22/04/2026 22:43

Is it too much to hope that City get a large points deduction?

Yep. Too big to fail.

You are right but if they do t do something about the blatant rule breaking it makes a mockery of the whole league, and other teams lose out as a result.
And I would love the dick that is Halaand to get his comeuppance too.

TheNewGaard · 22/04/2026 22:57

Other teams, e.g. Everton, have been punished, but it seems that if your crimes are large enough, you'll be allowed to get away with anything.

It is a mockery.

Sitting here as a Wednesday fan, facing a further points deduction next season, and watching City just flaunt the rules as much as they like really sticks in the craw.

I don't feel too sorry for the Chelsea manager: if he didn't feel it the right time to make the big step up to Chelsea he should have said so. That is the adult thing to do. Although i guess the money and the facilities must be hard to turn down.

Don't get me started on Haaland. (although the thing where he didn't throw himself to the ground after the headbut did make me thaw a teeny tiny bit). Every time he misses a goal he does this thing that looks as though he's so super shocked that a brilliant footballer with his skills couldn't possibly have missed that. It irritates me.

Agree with all of this.

But re Haaland not going down. Of course, I am very grateful that he didn't and Gabriel was very foolish, but as far as I saw, Gabriel barely touched him, let alone head butted him, and so a man mountain like Haaland going down would have been so ridiculous that probably didn't even occur to him to go down.
