I didn't enjoy the end of our match obviously.

We went to the HDS (first time for me), didn't have tickets so went to a nearby pub and the atmosphere was fantastic. So despite the result we had a great day 💙

Well, that was annoying. At least we played better than we did against Bournemouth, but when the luck isn't going your way, it's not going your way.

Big Gabby was stupid/lucky, but then I thought Khusanov was rather lucky with his "last man" foul as well.

It's not over yet - if we play with that intensity for the last games of the season we can still do enough to win, but it's obviously going to be a lot tighter than I would have liked...

I thought Freddie Woodman did well @burblish A good weekend in the Woodman house with his Dad leading Bromley to League 1 promotion yesterday tooSmile

His dad would be my choice for Manager of the Year.

Just back from Gladbach vs Mainz. Oh god. We went 1-0 up in the 8th minute.

They had an equalizer disallowed late on in the 2nd half. Then with 4.5 minutes of 5 minutes added on time gone, all they had to do was park the bus and hoof any balls that came at them out of the park.

And... they gave away a penalty. They were infuriating. Still, have moved up to 14th place (from 15th). Still in danger of relegation.

At least chez Bref no teams lost this weekend. And with Wednesday 1-1 at home yesterday, that feels like a win... i really feel that ending this season on 0 points is doable...

If any Bournemouth fans are lurking on here, I'd be interested to know your view on Marco Rose taking over from Iraola. I'm surprised Rose has been out of work for a year - he seems like a decent option to me. Will we see the revival of 4-4-2 in the Premier League?!

Tarkan · 20/04/2026 22:05

A point at Palace. Would have preferred 3 points to 1 when it’s so perilous at the bottom but sometimes every point counts so 🤞

DuncinToffee · 20/04/2026 22:09

That point means that Wolves are now relegated.

Just saw that. Better than nothing I guess.

@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain 🤞🏻 for Conference League Final! I was in Florence for the quarter final second leg it was amazing!

We have less money than the top tier clubs but still manage to pull it off from time to time. Who’s the next manager after Glasner?

TheBabyFatmoss · 20/04/2026 22:22

@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain I don’t know who can replace Ollie for me, I love him. Any preferences?

As long as you keep pace with Spurs, you'll be reet.

Mr Bref will be happy, he is still cross that Boro's trainer went there.

Any Bournemouth fans here? you're getting Marco Rose as trainer, ex-Gladbach (went to Leipzig so dead to me). Jürgen Klopp described him as the most handsome trainer in the Bundesliga...

Acc to Glasner we are not doing so badly and might even make euro conf what’s it called. Being optimistic though.

I like Ollie. Why is he leaving? Yeah I know why but…

TheBabyFatmoss · 21/04/2026 11:06

@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain I’m always hoping we can change his mind!

Tarkan · 21/04/2026 12:27

All my West Ham groups are celebrating. Karren Brady has stepped down as vice-chair.

The only reason not to celebrate would be waiting for the porn merchant David Sullivan to go as well, and then having an even larger party.

Are you a hammer fan? CP used to have rivalry with them back in the day as well as seagulls (Brighton). I was in Upton Park on a match day in casual clothes (seeing a friend) and thought i’d get attacked! And I live not far from Selhurst park so know about footie fans! And when and where you avoid Two them.

Matildahoney · 21/04/2026 13:12

I keep seeing these threads and forgetting to join! Almost the end of season too, but better late than never!

I'm a Southampton fan, so lots to play for at the moment! Bring on Bristol City tonight for another 3 points!

I'm also following Millwall closely this strain, they were my dad's team and he died last May so he'd have loved to have seen this season! Don't want them going up over us though!

And Wrexham might make the play offs, so yet more stories and if they make Wembley on May 23rd, more US tv coverage no doubt.
