Good draw for Newcastle the blue side looks better than the silver

Yep, potential route to the final, Qarabag aside comprises of 3 teams we beat on the way to winning the Carabao cup last season. It would be SO Newcastle to do it.

Scoobydoobydoo19 · 31/01/2026 15:14

I like football today 😁

I watched the game on TV. Much better from Bradford today and Donny put up a fight too, it wasn't easy.

Scoobydoobydoo19 · 31/01/2026 15:30

Yeah, much better today! So happy for Tyreik Wright - he's had a lot of stick this season so I hope that scoring a belter will improve his confidence!

Pennington did a brilliant clearance off the line.

COYS4 · 31/01/2026 15:56

Spurs and Swansea. A close family member played for them back in their heyday (1950/1960’s). Also getting an interest in the MLS

😡 2nd time in 2 matches with have lost points in the final minutes

Kirbert2 · 31/01/2026 17:23

Well we didn't get a player sent off this time but we went from 2-0 up to drawing 2-2 to winning 3-2. Liam Manning has definitely made Huddersfield more interesting! 😂

TheNewGaard · 31/01/2026 18:14

Comfortably avoided the potential banana skin at dirty Leeds today.

I hope Saka's injury isn't serious.

TheSleepingGiant · 31/01/2026 18:51

Derby day, shame no-one told the Gills players. Game was over after 30 minutes sadly. Quality goals from Bromley all 4 of them 😣Our new signing, Hale from Ross County looked decent. Hopefully he will be worth the investment.

Brefugee · 31/01/2026 18:53

Sheffield Wednesday predictably lost. Gladbach were awful but managed an away draw (conceeding, again, in the dying minutes of the game) to Werder.

Boro supporter Chez Bref is very happy indeed today

burblish · 31/01/2026 21:59

Ibrahima Konate scoring tonight and being in tears afterwards (his father died just over a week ago) got me right in the feels.

Scoobydoobydoo19 · 31/01/2026 22:06

Same. I wasn't aware of what had happened until 5 minutes ago but I did get emotional. Absolute respect to him for even being willing to play, never mind playing so well.

MrsMitford3 · 31/01/2026 22:43

Fofana should be in jail- he has 50-yes 50 points.

I have seen footage of his driving.

If he was joe from tesco he would be in jail

DuncinToffee · 31/01/2026 22:47

Watching MotD, what was Todibo thinking?

What is the news re Fofana?

Nope I can confirm, football is still shite 🙄

Itstheyearitstarts · 01/02/2026 07:53

Todibo had the crazy eyes, he completely lost his head!

Good seeing Arsenal back to winning ways in the league, just hope Saka injury not too serious.

ivyleafgeranium · 01/02/2026 09:00

Well what can I say. It got worse for the mighty Orient. Our new keeper, signed on Friday, got injured in the warm up and may be out long term or returned (it is a loan). We then conceded in the first 90 seconds and couldn’t create anything to get a goal back against bottom of the table team. Looks like relegation and league 2 for us next season. Which after the excitement of the play off final for the Championship last year is a bit disappointing. Went on afterwards to see Paddington the Musical though so that made it a great day (even though the central line being shut made Leyton to the Aldwych unnecessarily difficult!).

Brefugee · 01/02/2026 09:59

Todibo belongs up in court.

Also second the question about Fofana?

burblish · 01/02/2026 10:45

Shocking re Wesley Fofana's driving record - especially the fact that he has been banned before and it clearly made no difference to him. 🤬

I know the standard line with mass bust-ups on the pitch is meant to be "nobody wants to see that" - but admit it, who else cackled at João Pedro's "oh shit...!" step backward when Sherman Tank Traore turned and Hulk-stomped towards him!

Brefugee · 01/02/2026 10:50

i think the ref didn't send enough players off (and in the Sunday Times there are so many comments about it being "a bit of handbags"). Todibo's first move was to put both hands round someone's neck! I think Traoré should have gone off too, and whoever it was that flicked the other one's face.

There needs to be a very hard line on this. Very hard.

Imagine your first move is to put your hands round someone's throat!!

I did laugh at Paddy Power’s tweet on the matter which went something along the lines of ‘fair play to the Sky commentating team for not coming up out with the usual ‘nobody wants to see this’ of the scenes between the Chelsea and West Ham players because they know as well as we do, this is exactly what people want to see’ 🤣

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 01/02/2026 12:30

What a roller coaster ride the West Ham game was!!! Was in the West lower middle so got to see all 5 goals. Missed the drama at the end though so silly!!! Though Gary Nevielle "going to eat his face" 🤣 or whatever he said
