Ouch. 😉

😂

I think you played us at a very unfortunate time. I know without a doubt that if Lee Grant was still our manager, you would've either won or got a last minute goal to draw.

Imagine if Huddersfield vs Bradford is a playoffs game? Carnage. 😅

We had nothing up front. We could have kept going until Christmas, whoever the manager was, and we still wouldn't have scored expecting poor Kav to get on the end of those hoofs!
Yorkshire derby playoff semi makes me feel sick just thinking about it to be honest 😂 but I'm sure it would be good fun and I'd hope we'd be a little more "up for it."

It was completely different to when you absolutely battered us at your place. Definitely lacking fire power right now, hopefully you can get a shiny new striker in before the window closes.

I'm hoping for a new striker too since Lee Grant had the bright idea to send Joe Taylor on loan to Wigan just before he got sacked. 🙄😂

The rumour is Ethan Wheatley from Man Utd, who's been on loan at Northampton so, yeah, I dunno...meh.

Fingers crossed he surprises you if it is him!

How are you feeling about Lincoln tomorrow? You've had a rough fixture list recently.

I think we're losing that and waving goodbye to automatic promotion unfortunately. I hope we start as we mean to go on and don't just decide to turn up in the second half - because I've heard somewhere that Lincoln don't lose if they go ahead.

I hope they prove me wrong though. 😂

Your game v Luton should be interesting.

I think if you play like you did against Cardiff then maybe you can eek a draw out. Hopefully just a little wobble that you can get past.

Even if you do drop out of the top 2, look at where Donny and Port Vale are. I know it's disappointing considering how long you've been there but what a season. Bradford have probably impressed me the most along with Lincoln and I do rate Graham Alexander overall.

I'm more confident with the Luton game because we are at home and we are stronger at home. Definitely should be a good one!

urgh - looking at social media today it appears Gladbach are now going to struggle to avoid relegation. (here bottom two go down, top to from the league below go up and then 3rd from bottom and 3rd from top have a relegation battle over 2 legs.)

Wanted to go back to the Woltemarde comment about him not being good at headers. He's really tall, right? We had a tall one (Jannik Vestergaard - went to Southampton the Leicester - not sure where he is now) who was really really tall. Really tall. Towered over everyone. Absolutely shite at headers.

Scoobydoobydoo19 · 26/01/2026 20:34

So much for Tarkowski having the game of his life.

DuncinToffee · 26/01/2026 21:57

We'll take it after that first half but yet another frustrating home game.

He isn’t wrong BUT

fans should already be boycotting for the way FIFA handled tickets and pricing and the stupid club World Cup packs

a few thousand fans of different countries have already paid four figures for the right to buy a final ticket IF there team gets there which means the vast majority have just wasted money

UEFA run the Euros much better IMO (even if I do hate the new champions league format)

Edited

Sorry to hear that about Gladbach. Relegation is always crap.

Aye Nick is 6ft6. Absolute beanpole. He’s scored a few headers (including one famously in our own net at the Stadium of Shite) but it’s definitely an area you’d expect him to be better in - even at just winning the ball…

burblish · 27/01/2026 20:57

@TheNewGaard I read that, too - and even Sepp Blatter, of all people, is encouraging boycott! It's sad that it will never happen: Infantino is so far up Trump's arse he can tickle his tonsils, and FIFA only care about money, as holding it in Russia and Qatar showed.

Scoobydoobydoo19 · 27/01/2026 22:35

Another bad football day. 🤬

Tarkan · 27/01/2026 22:45

Arbroath’s game tonight against Airdrie (Scottish Challenge Cup) was called off because of the storm. If anyone has seen any of the conditions we had on Friday night you can only imagine how bad it actually is for them to call the game off today. 🙈

ivyleafgeranium · 27/01/2026 22:47

Can I join please, although after tonight’s debacle I’m almost ashamed to admit to being a Leyton Orient fan. Inconsistent isn’t the word for our season. We have the league one golden boot at the moment and no midfield, defence or goalkeeper. Poor signings and injuries to blame but goodness what a terrible performance tonight. Donny looked amazing compared to us. Never mind- will still be there on Saturday. Up the O’s!

Kirbert2 · 27/01/2026 23:06

I don't know how Huddersfield managed to win the game today. That's 2 games, 2 1-0 wins and 2 red cards for Liam Manning's Huddersfield.

Absolutely cracking halfway line goal from our captain Ryan Ledson.

Only bad news is that Alfie May will be out for 4 games now due to his 2nd red of the season, our other striker went off injured and oh yeah, Joe Taylor is on loan at Wigan so we only have Dion Charles if it's a bad injury. Striker incoming, please!

Crazy, crazy game.

DuncinToffee · 27/01/2026 23:14

Welcome to the thread @ivyleafgeranium

Ryan Ledson was in our academy, great goal.

We got a player on loan at Doncaster, sorry to see your score lines Scooby and ivyleaf.

Don't worry, Doncaster will beat us on Saturday too. You're not alone.
You looked pretty good when you played us in December. What's happened?

Great team. I was at the game that saw the O's promoted to L1. There was a power cut at Priestfield with 10 minutes to go and by the time the club got the generators going other games had ended and your automatic promotion had been sealed. Gillingham won that game and by doing so secured League 2 safety. Crazy game and one Justin Edinburgh would've enjoyed 💙

We have a lot of injuries- Connolly, El Mizouni and our January signing Will Forester (we were told he was injury prone!). Beckles (club captain) seems to be frozen out. It’s all a bit weird. But we were great against Reading and pretty good against Cardiff and Bolton so who knows. We are terrible away, our keeper was recalled by Stoke and we haven’t replaced him so playing a very much no 2 keeper. Also Aflie Lloyd was recalled by QPR and then loaned to Lincoln which wasn’t great as he only made one start for us having been injured for five months!! Bad luck, bad tactics and (some)lightweight replacement players. Port vale on Saturday. Eeek!
