But what is Kai supposed to do? Snub him in public? Partey hasn't been found guilty yet. Surely it is innocent until proven.

The reports (and video footage) are that Havertz went to the Ghana dressing room after the end of the match. Hardly a helpless victim of circumstance, was he. Btw, Partey was charged a couple of weeks ago with two more counts of rape said to have been committed in 2020 (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gqv9x3p40o) on top of all the other charges he was already facing. I accept "innocent until proven guilty" but, funnily enough, I also don't tend to go out of my way to associate with men who have been charged with multiple counts of rape against multiple women. Kai Havertz clearly has different standards than me. His prerogative, just as it's my prerogative to judge the hell out of men who actively choose to seek out men like Thomas Partey.

MrsMitford3 · 01/04/2026 07:43

Bloody hell just saw Italy out again.

What on earth is going on there?
Missing 3 in a row-a country that was so feared-and won 4? world cups is now out on penalties.

Happy for Sweden, gutted for Norway. So many decided on penalties shows what fine margins it is I guess.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 01/04/2026 08:03

Oh dear. I really liked Kai Havertz.

The only photo I saw was Partey pulling him up off the ground.

Partey had denied the charges so it could be a set up by the women although it is It is very unlikely.

It is one thing being polite to someone until they've been found guilty but actively going out to see them is different.

I think De Zerbi’s track record of backing rapists is less than ideal.

Mind Arteta protected Partey for long enough despite knowing of the multiple allegations. Although at least he had the protection of them just being allegations at that stage, still a bit unsavoury though. We’ve all seen the pictures and heard the audio of Greenwood’s scumbaggery however so De Zerbi has less plausible deniability.

How would Spurs fans feel if he tried to bring Greenwood in come the Summer?

I'd like to think the fans would riot, the board would listen and the contract offer to such a vile piece of shit withdrawn. Similar to what happened with Ched Evans and Joey Barton previously when they both had offers revoked due to fans putting pressure on boards. There should be no place in football for these kind of "people" and yes I know Ched was found innocent on appeal but my opinion still stands.

Unfortunately I am reading negative responses to the Tottenham Trust Supporters statement from our fans, putting league position above all else. I hope these men aren't Dads, Grandads, Uncles as the thought makes me feel ill tbh.

TheSleepingGiant · 01/04/2026 09:07

Her Game Too, are partnered with a lot of EFL Clubs and have matches dedicated to them from the different clubs during the course of a season. Gillingham's dedicated fixture was a couple of weeks back. They've released at statement:

"Her Game Too stands with Proud Lilywhites, SpursREACH and women of the Lane in their recent statements condemning the apponitment of Roberto De Zerbi at Tottenham Hotspur FC.
We have taken the decision to cancel our upcoming First Time Fans programme, which was designed to bring women and girls to their first Tottenham game.
Given the current situation, we do not feel it is appropriate to introduce them to this environment"
👏

They have a Facebook page if anyone is interested.

JasonTindallsTan · 01/04/2026 09:28

I’ll check them out TSG. What an absolute clusterfuck it all is.

Yes, I feel really sorry for the Spurs fans. They have enough on their plate without this.

MrsMitford3 · 01/04/2026 11:14

Just to remind us it is not all doom and gloom Wembley posted footage of the Japanese fans with bin bags cleaning up the away end.

What a lovely lovely fanbase. 🇯🇵

@JasonTindallsTan Just looking at predicted England teams and a bit disappointed not to see Ramsdale there-what do the Newcastle fans think?

I guess there is still an outside chance?

Hmmm. Honestly I was a bit surprised to see him in this camp. He’s done ok for us but hasn’t set the world on fire. We just lurch between him and pope whenever one makes too big a howler to let them continue between the sticks. Both are decent enough keepers but neither are world class. I’d say he’s probably done just about enough to not raise too many eyebrows if he got a spot on the plane, but not would people be screaming for Tuchel’s head should it not materialise.

Haha! Hi, nice to have another Rangers fan around LOL.

I only go to Arbroath home matches (season ticket holder) and support the others via TV when I can. 😁 I have various disabilities and health issues so away games aren’t usually doable for me.

I’m originally from Glasgow, hence my Rangers support as well as my current local team. (And West Ham is because my gran was from Romford LOL).

To make things even more fun DH is a Hibs supporter. He also comes to Arbroath games though and he has a soft spot for Sunderland after being based near there when he was in the RAF.

So there’s usually a team to support in our household no matter what’s on. 🤣

(I’m a woman btw although my username is after my male dog. He’s Romanian so we also have a soft spot for them in international games). 😁

Brightbluesomething · 02/04/2026 11:19

@JasonTindallsTan I agree he’s a good keeper but not world class. We already have more players in the England squad than any other prem club so injury concerns are a worry.
Hall was great this week, as always, but I did feel the lacklustre performance from England with few chances in the box was a little too much like Newcastle recently.
I’m having withdrawals from no club football recently and that England performance did nothing to help.

DuncinToffee · 02/04/2026 11:25

The last few seasons, international break was a very welcome breather. This season, I just want it to be over.

I would love it for Garner to be in the England squad but I don't think he will. Pickford is ofcourse a no brainer.

Your DH follows the club with the best song sung at football matches. After Hibernian won the Scottish Cup for the first time in 114 years, the crowd singing Sunshine on Leith was beautiful.

It was also our first dance song at our wedding as he had the Hibs tartan for his kilt and I worked our colour scheme and theme around it.

Ended up walking down the aisle to it too because the venue played that instead of “Let’s Get Married” which it was meant to be. 🤦🏻‍♀️

And unbeknownst to my DH my something blue was a Rangers tartan garter so I had some of them there for the full day. 😁 He didn’t find out until we got to the hotel afterwards LOL.

burblish · 02/04/2026 21:36

I will do that.

I will try to include everyone but the website layout doesn't make it easy.

it would be great but don't stress about it!! (we could always ask MN to edit it in if you don't manage, I'm sure if we sent the list they'd oblige)
