Rooting for City today. A West Ham win, or even draw, is just another nail in our coffin

That was fun at the end! Rather nervy before that.

Congratulations to Max Dowman!

It was nervy because Raya keeps kicking the ball up the pitch and and allowing the other team to get the ball.

I really think that he wants to kill all the supporters off.

TheNewGaard · 14/03/2026 21:39

Loved Martinelli making sure to block the defender off to make sure he couldn't put in a challenge.

TheNewGaard · 14/03/2026 21:55

Well done the 'Ammers!

Scoobydoobydoo19 · 14/03/2026 22:20

We could have done with us winning today too! I'm sorry. You can't rely on us to get results away from home.

Itstheyearitstarts · 14/03/2026 22:33

I’ll take the win against Everton and City only getting a draw! Bit too tight for us but delighted Max scored, took it well and kept his composure.

JasonTindallsTan · 14/03/2026 23:08

Over the moon with that rather unexpected Newcastle win today. We rarely win at Stamford Bridge so feels like a big moment.

I think we might get past Barca you know…

Fair play to Anthony Gordon for clearing up the whole ‘not wanting to play’ bollocks last week. The poor bloke was ill, we’ve had a sickness bug ripping through the squad since Ramsey vommed on the pitch the other week.

Tarkan · 15/03/2026 03:43

I really wasn’t expecting a point from us playing City but of course I’m happy with that. Gone up a place in the table finally as well. If you’d asked me a few months ago I definitely wouldn’t have expected to be saying that.

And going back to the subject of Wrexham, we were told that very early on, Arbroath was one team they also considered but they decided they’d have more opportunities for bigger things with the English league instead of Scottish. While it would have been interesting to see how that went I do think they went the right way for what they were wanting to do. And we’ve been doing well enough without the Hollywood money. Another point away from home for the Lichties and happily sitting third in the league.

MrsMitford3 · 15/03/2026 08:03

I try to not post if I've had a drink or am overly emotional and that ruled out last night!

Fair play to your boys @DuncinToffee I was sick with nerves the whole game-they really gave us a good one.

I woke this morning-both my birthday and Mothering Sunday and the first thing I thought of was Man Dowman's goal 😂 sad but true.

And well done the Hammers-my postie is an old school west ham fan-wears a cap with The Irons on it and he told me yesterday he is quietly confident. So that's sorted then.

I hope I can hold my nerve and not have a heart attack before the end of the season...

JasonTindallsTan · 15/03/2026 09:22

Oh also, what did everyone think about the Chelsea players holding their pre match huddle around the ref? What a bunch of absolute weapons. And Rosenior saying it was their decision to ‘respect the ball’. My eyes damn nest rolled out my head.

MrsMitford3 · 15/03/2026 09:30

where has that laughing emoji gone @JasonTindallsTan ??

he just comes across as such a twat-especially after ranting about the "disrespect" of Arsenal for being in their half warming up.
Very David Brent!!
and well done!

Rosenior is a very strange guy. I think he came in expecting to do what Carrick has done for United and he’s a bit embarassed so he picks on these little things like Arsenal being disrespectful by training in their half to try and excuse their poor performances

DuncinToffee · 15/03/2026 09:51

I have only seen a picture and it just looked weird.

Chelsea have been doing it for ages and it just seems pointless it is hardly the haka is it

there is something unlikable fo me about Liam Rosenoir that I can’t quite put my finger on

TheSleepingGiant · 15/03/2026 10:41

There was a strange sending off in the Notts Chesterfield game yesterday. A Notts player threw a Chesterfield players boot off the pitch after it came off during a challenge. Very bizarre.

It's all going wrong for Gillingham, 10 goals shipped in 2 matches! Credit to the 1000 odd fans who made the trip to Cambridge yesterday to see a 5-0 hammering. I was at the home game mid-week to see them lose 5-1. I'll be back there Tuesday for the Swindon game, lets hope it's not more of the same. No idea how they can go from 21 unbeaten to this 🤔

Happy Mother's Day to all who celebrate 💐

Happy birthday!

It was the first thing we spoke about this morning too.

I think that Rosenoir will be gone soon.

Apparently the ref refused to move.

Hellohah · 15/03/2026 11:13

Happy Birthday @MrsMitford3 and Happy Mother's Day to all 💐

Hoping we can bounce back from our defeat at Newcastle and actually play some decent football.

We've got Bournemouth on Friday and then more than 3 weeks until our next game.

Feeling very part time United at the moment 😂

Tiswa · 15/03/2026 12:01

Chelsea can’t just keep on changing managers though at some point it has to be recognised that just like Forest and Spurs the issue isn’t the manager it is the whole structure

I saw a friend for dinner last night who has recently started working at Fulham in the tour area and it was interesting to here how the business side works and it was quite the eye opener

MrsMitford3 · 15/03/2026 15:45

Thanks for all of the cross party birthday wishes.

Obviously the day being spent watching football 😂

Some tasty matches and interesting results-it's good when teams still have something to play for!

JasonTindallsTan · 15/03/2026 18:12

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 15/03/2026 10:42

Apparently the ref refused to move.

As he should. The ref stands at the centre circle prior to kick off. The players gathered around him. Had he moved it would have indicated a deference to the Chelsea team which would have been unacceptable in my view. They don’t get to encroach on his space in some weird little power play. Or at least they shouldn’t.

I agree with whoever said Rosenior is a dislikeable chap. Absolute librarian of a man.

DuncinToffee · 15/03/2026 18:27
