Resident wolves fan here. Still in shock. Starting to dream of 19th spot!!

sorry to say my Boro supporting DH is still hoping you go down and Boro go up.

But it does show how good the trainer is.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 04/03/2026 15:04

I'm sure there is, but the referees can't police it because both sides are doing it during corners. Who are they going to give the card to?

of course they can. They can give cards to everyone. And as soon as they are regularly getting them, and getting sent off for a 2nd, they will stop.

All it takes is an application of the rules. Like handball in the area: no matter how stupid, apply the rule.

I used to live with a Boro season ticket holder and subsequently have an unvarnished loathing of them these past 35 years so not having to play them next season will be a bonus 😁

It’s funny how we have irrational hatreds of other teams isn’t it? I know a lot of Wolves fans have a dislike of Bolton following an unfortunate encounter in the playoffs in the 90s.

who do you irrationally hate. I don’t mean your local rivals, I mean a totally bonkers hatred.

He said that we weren't playing football or something. If so, how come they got so many yellow cards trying to stop us attacking?

He said "I will never be that kind of manager who tries to win in that way. I want to do well. I want my players to keep improving, keep playing football on the pitch. In the end, of course, every team will manage and waste time, but I think there has to be a limit, and the limit has to be set by the Premier League. The limit has to be set by the referees, at the moment they just do what they want. If I would ask now everyone in the room if he really enjoyed this football game I'm sure maybe one raises his arm because he is a big Arsenal fan but besides that, no chance"
If they were potentially going to be relegated or win the league they would play however they needed to play to get the results, if he says otherwise he's not being truthful.

Well, he is definitely wrong about one Arsenal fan putting their hand up. I don't think anyone would.

His team was the one preventing fast restarts! Rotational fouling to stop our attacks. And their crowding of Raya was probably worse than anything we did.

A bit of a hypocrite I'd suggest...

There was an analysis of our "time wasting" in the Telegraph today.

They said that we take the longest time on corners averaging 44.4 seconds. Sunderland our next at 44.1 seconds. But they said that we take the same time whether we are winning or not so it is not really time wasting.

They also said that we are not any more likely than any other team to waste time and that other teams are more likely to waste time when they play us as they want to disrupt our flow.

I just read that as well, certainly doesn’t back up his comments.

Poor Ethan Nwanari missed penalty in a penalty shootout last night and it knocked Marseille out of the Coupe de France.

JasonTindallsTan · 05/03/2026 18:37

Well I’ve just calmed down after last night. What a great result. Ramsey was very very unlucky to be sent off, that wasn’t simulation he just lost his balance and fell, he wasn’t claiming a penalty or shouting for some kind of punishment for the player. And what was most annoying was the ref had given a goal kick and was walking away until he got surrounded by the Man U players in his ear at which point he bent to their will and gave the second yellow, it just spoils the game and was so unecessary.

Mind joelinton should have got a second yellow for sarcastically clapping the ref, I did laugh at Tonali hauling him back by his shirt to bring him to his senses though.

DuncinToffee · 05/03/2026 18:51

Maybe the secret of beating Man U is playing with 10 men Wink

I don't hate or loathe any team. Not even Sheffield United.
I do have an extreme distaste - for complicated German reasons - of RB Leipzig

Tottenham get battered…

Piknik · 05/03/2026 21:04

We deserve to go down. We are shit
Tudor is shit
Vicario is shit
Our players (even the better ones) just look defeated and are playing shit football.

The minute Mickey Van Der Ven got sent off, the tiny glimmer of hope was gone and we capitulated.

Everything is shit and I despair.

DuncinToffee · 05/03/2026 22:13

Spurs will need their fans for the fight, West Ham fans are rallying behind their team, we did it, Empty stadiums won't help, however understandable.

I remember the away section emptying out when we were 4-0 down to Reading. Anyone that left early that day will never leave early again… ( we did not)
