This is great

Macclesfield defender Sam Heathcote is a teacher and was back in school on Monday, just two days after beating Crystal Palace in the FA Cup's greatest upset 😲

He quite rightly received a hero's reception 👏

oh that's lovely. Assuming he's a PE teacher turning up in sweatpants?

MrsMitford3 · 13/01/2026 12:26

Just saw Jamie Carragher's son plays for Wigan.

oops meant to quote @TheNewGaard

Shame we didn't get Salford - would have been some fun with Gary Neville...

DuncinToffee · 13/01/2026 12:34

Yes, he is a PE teacher

Well done Senegal, Gana and Ndiaye, in the Afcon final

Urgh. Gladbach are down 5-1 away at Hoffenheim. And there is still 15 minutes to go.

I really want to slap them sometimes

burblish · 14/01/2026 22:47

Very impressive win by 10-man Hearts - the Scottish Premiership is so interesting this season.

Senegal deserved the AFCON win against Egypt (I knew it would be Sadio Mane!). Congratulations also to Morocco, although I feel sorry for Nigeria.

Best of all: Real Madrid were dumped out of the Copa del Rey by second division team Albacete. I love to see it!

burblish · 16/01/2026 15:06

Well, damn. Double whammy for Palace fans today: Guehi has agreed to sign for Man City now (which I am so salty about as a Liverpool fan after Steve Parrish's last minute flip flop last summer) and Oliver Glasner has also confirmed he will leave in the summer.

DuncinToffee · 16/01/2026 18:14

Guehi takes City to almost half a billion net spend since Dec 2024, when 115/130 hearing ended

Sources say it could take at least another year - with no one knowing when the 3 judges will have the initial judgment - provoking core Qs about this process

We were going to pay 70 mill for him in summer 24! Parish is a bit of a douche though.

Derby Day.
As you can imagine, the Hellohah household is hardly brimming with confidence this morning.
Apparently Carrick has urged supporters to be out of their seats. I am anticipating 50% of our lot will have buggered off home by half time.

I've got just about enough energy to post ... Come on you Reds 😂

DuncinToffee · 17/01/2026 09:59

Good luck Hellohah

Fourthed!

Fandango52 · 17/01/2026 11:42

Please can I also ask for some good wishes for Spurs today? They really do need to win. Given it’s against West Ham, they should pull it out the bag, but you never know with Spurs 😂😂 I have to say, I was quite hopeful for the first couple of months of the season, but I’m no longer feeling that way…

DuncinToffee · 17/01/2026 11:49

Everton could do with some good vibes as well, 8 first team players still out and up against Villa.

I hope for a Senegal win on Sunday as well.

TheNewGaard · 17/01/2026 11:51

I can certainly cheer on Everton today!

I would hazard a guess that no one buggered off at half time.

Def the better team.

Hope you can hold on!!!! 🙏

DuncinToffee · 17/01/2026 14:25

You got the 'new manager bounce' @Hellohah , enjoy!

OP posts:
TheNewGaard · 17/01/2026 14:26

Well well well!

DuncinToffee · 17/01/2026 14:36

Not good for my FPL but very funny.

Dalot was lucky though.

OP posts:
Hellohah · 17/01/2026 14:38

Thank you all for the well wishes, I think we probably should have been down to 10 men in the first half after that Dalot challenge so reckon it was all your good luck wishes that saw us through!
On my way home now, and I'm definitely celebrating tonight. I need a drink, my voice has gone.

@DuncinToffee hopefully I can share some of our luck with you ... I'm buzzing and all my positive energy should do you some good 😂 xx

Brefugee · 17/01/2026 14:40

if there are any good vibes over please send them in the direction of Gladbach who lost 5-1 to Hoffenheim on Wednesday and are playing Hamburg at the moment.

thanks!
