😂

Tiswa · 18/10/2025 16:15

It was Gus Poyet finding out live on tv he had been sacked!

DuncinToffee · 18/10/2025 17:05

Great result @Tarkan

We lost, didn't play bad but a rested Haaland made the difference.

I sold Mateta, FPL curse 😂

I have no voice left. St Johnstone were unbeaten until today. Their goal went in in the 5th minute and I thought that was us fucked. Must have been a hell of a half time pep talk we had. 😍

A shiny new thread.

Just bookmarking 👍

@Brefugee you never know, you might beat Bayern and kick start your season. Fingers crossed for you

up until a few years ago we beat them regularly, and at least didn't lose. We had (not sure now) the best results against them of any club. We'll see.

TheSleepingGiant · 18/10/2025 19:05

Think that's the quickest I've ever seen a rolling football thread fill up.

I do feel for Ange but think Dyche will be a better fit. Ange would have needed a pre-season at least getting the players to play his way.

A loss for Gillingham away to Grimsby earlier. They had to play with 9 men for just under 30 minutes so lucky to only concede 1. The 1st red was apparently questionable, with the BBC reporter saying it wasn't even free kick worthy, so I'm hoping that can be overturned on appeal.

Cuwins · 18/10/2025 19:20

Great 3 points at the Amex today!

Brefugee · 18/10/2025 19:44

Well Wednesday lost. Glad to see our away end nice and full thought at Charlton.

TheNewGaard · 18/10/2025 20:01

Not pretty, but 3 points and a clean sheet.

Man City are a force aren’t they.

Actually let me rephrase that Haaland is a force isn’t he. Surely he must win the ballon d’or at some point - his international break was sensational and put those who play in yellow and blue to shame

Arsenal though slight favourites I think could be caught out again by Man City a repeat perhaps of the 23/24 season where it is a three horse race

DuncinToffee · 18/10/2025 20:28

Haaland is the force, he is unplayable at times.

A better striker and we coud have won that game. The City defence was ropey.

An unstoppable force at the moment

what does City charged have to do with frankly how good a striker Haaland is.

Liverpool and Arsenal have tried to match him this season with buying strikers not sure they have done so

ButterPiesAreGreat · 18/10/2025 20:57

Lost today. According to DS who went on the coach, we should have had a pen first half but I can see why not given. Hecky said they didn’t do a lot wrong so I’ll take it on trust. Now have Brum on Tuesday (keep roight on etc) which I’ll watch on SS+ as I have a meeting and can’t get there on time. Then Blades on Fri night, it’s all happening!

TheNewGaard · 18/10/2025 21:11

Speaking of penalties, can we just automatically disallow any penalties that Arsenal could have, just to save the time?

They weren’t penalties though you can’t seriously think they were?

Good to see Wellbeck score.

I don't know the rules well enough, but it must have been close otherwise the check would not have taken so long.

Good to see Wellbeck score.

Yes he is on a bit of a roll so far this season- 4 goals in 8 games. If he can stay fit he could beat last seasons best ever season I would think!

Tiswa · 18/10/2025 21:29

Well, given that he caught Saka's knee before he touched the ball. And that it took them however many minutes to re-referee it (which is exactly what they have said they weren't going to do), it was obviously not a "clear and obvious error".

So, yes, I seriously think that one was. But it was obvious they would find some way to disallow it, because they always do...

Tiswa · 18/10/2025 23:24

Can’t you just enjoy the fact that you won and are top of the league without thinking there is some massive PGMOL conspiracy against you.

so far you have dropped points/conceded to an amazing free kick and Haaland

the only think I think would worry me is that Gyokeres hasn’t kicked in yet with goals

Tuesday though great game excited to see what an Alvarez Athletico can do against a premier league side

TheNewGaard · 19/10/2025 00:44

Oh, I'm enjoying it alright! But we see this week in week out. I'm not going to pretend it doesn't happen. Much as many would like us to...
