No it isn’t but at the same time Isak behaviour can’t stand in isolation the club haven’t handled it the best either - the fact clubs were after him this summer can’t have come as a shock so they should have been prepared
G
I can’t see reintegration happening or being the best move for player or club so it is how to extract now with the least future impact because IMO this will put players off

and I know he has a contract but the ECJ isn’t ever going to hold that means a player can’t leave IF a fair market value bid comes in and as I said FIFPRO are just dying to have a test case on this.

so in reality it comes down to what a fair market price is - and that is where it gets contentious again. And his fitness I think knocks 10/20 off for me, the handling another 10 so 130 for me would be fair but others want more!

Yes, if Necastle don't like people who go on strike when they don't get their own way, why did they sign Anthony Gordon?

Tiswa · 17/08/2025 15:25

I benched Muniz for Evanilson so not thah happy either!

and I went in on Chelsea and so far it’s 0-0 I mean that is good from the perspective of not being a Chelsea fan but not FPL

ExceptionalDefender · 17/08/2025 15:34

I dropped Wood for Joao Pedro yesterday 🙄 I mean Friday

TheSleepingGiant · 17/08/2025 15:39

I have Muniz in my FPL, he served me well last year so kept him in. Ait Nouri was another top pick for me last season so he kept his place.
Love or hate Richy that was some goal he scored yesterday! I'd like Burnley to stay up as I like Scott Parker.

Gills left it late but took a point away from Tranmere. Clark sent off in the 94th minute unfortunately and he will be a big miss for Tuesday nights game.

Tiswa · 17/08/2025 16:09

I captained Joao Pedro and have kept up my streak of my captains not performing well.

I relented to pressure to captain Salah last year and he promptly fell over a cliff in terms of form!

I also stuck to 442 rather than my normal 343 as attackers tend to score more points!

outofdate · 17/08/2025 18:26

God how lucky were Arsenal? Man Utd looked so much better this season.
And my team lost 2-3😩

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 17/08/2025 18:27

Oh dear. We did not deserve to win that at all.

United were very good.

Tiswa · 17/08/2025 18:28

One match in and I would say City are looking favourites at the moment that was not a premier league winning performance from Arsenal or Chelsea today and Liverpool cannot rely on scoring more goals than the other team

Hellohah · 17/08/2025 19:43

And so we start the season as we ended the previous one ... Good old 15th 😂

Disappointed with the result, but have to take a lot of positives from the performance.

TheNewGaard · 17/08/2025 20:25

Was hoping for it not to be so tight. We were second best for a lot of that game.

TheNewGaard · 17/08/2025 20:49

Though I do have to say that Simon Hooper was an out and out homer today. Fortunately nothing major, but let them get away with all kinds of pushes and kicks.

LlynTegid · 17/08/2025 21:24

Referees have had to become more subtle in their pro Man Utd bias, after the 13 years without an opposition penalty being awarded at Old Trafford.

At least the BBC website as come clean by calling Simon Stone their Manchester United reporter.

Isn’t that one of the unspoken advantages of being a home! Penalities are awarded from what I can see 2:1 in favour of the home team - like it or not referees are human and are going to be impacted by a crowd so it does have some effect

the big VAR decision though must be the palace goal disallowed other than that I don’t remember anything else that would impact the final result

Cuwins · 18/08/2025 16:35

Great to see Morecambe seem to be out of immediate threat

If he was a homer ref then he would have found an excuse to disallow the Arsenal goal (btw I don't think it should have been disallowed, but there is a call that it could have been for a foul on Mount/Bayindir). And he would have given the penalty for a blatant foul on Cunha at the end! But yeah, defo a homer! 🙄

MiltonRoad · 18/08/2025 16:46

Agree @RedBlackBlue - I never realised how antagonistic arsenal's play is, or maybe it's a recent thing, so many deliberate interruptions and little niggles at the opponents (not a fan of either) including a disproportionate amount of malingering. Not pleasant to watch.

Tiswa · 18/08/2025 16:54

Areenal have IMO been like that for a couple of seasons sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t it is where the darks arts concept comes from

cheesychipsontheoche · 18/08/2025 19:33

great to see that Morecambe have been saved. Hope to see something more positive for Sheff Wed next.

I’m very happy after this weekend. Our new lads are rapid and the stadium of light was seriously loud

Could you please give me examples as I honestly don't see it. What should I look out for?

Obviously, I am biased, but the only incident I wondered about was when Ben White went down before he was subbed.

DuncinToffee · 18/08/2025 21:58

We were bad but that was not a penalty.

Tiswa · 18/08/2025 22:10

@MustTryHarderAndHarder isnt that the real issue though unless it is clear cut (offside/goalline/handball by a goalscorer) we all have perception bias that means we see things from the other side.

Arsenal to me always have played like that under Arteta!

@DuncinToffee I think it falls under no clear and obvious error. Had it not been given on field there is no way VAR would have gotten involved but I don’t think there is enough to say it clearly wasn’t and get the Ref to look. An unlucky one to be given for sure though

TheNewGaard · 18/08/2025 23:06

I know we always take far too long over throw ins, but this annoys me as much as anyone else, because we never seem to have a plan of what we're going to do!

Yes and more often than not, we give the ball away straight after a throw, so it was all for nothing any way.

It might well be time wasting, but I really think that it is just incompetence.

Yes, you were very unlucky.

We are playing them on Saturday. Not looking forward to it.
