Thread two

We are over halfway through the season. It looks like the WDC will either be Lando or Oscar. Hoping for a grandstand finish in Abu Dhabi.

Poor Lewis, I agree it’s a tough call to make, but letting Roscoe go is the right thing.

Agree that it’s time for Roscoe. It’s terribly sad but inevitable.

I’m really looking forward to Singapore. I’ve had an awful last couple of weeks and it’s great to have a race to enjoy this weekend.

Comefromaway · 29/09/2025 13:06

RIP Roscoe. And massive condolences to Lewis.

Wakemeuuuup · 29/09/2025 13:11

My heart goes out to Lewis. He did the right thing. This weekend will be tough for him

Brazilianadventure · 29/09/2025 14:59

I agree Singapore is going to be tough for Lewis. RIP Roscoe,

I hope none of the journalists ask him about Roscoe - bit of course they will, to try and get a reaction.

Yes, I really hope they don’t mention it all the time.

bless him, he’s had a horrible year.

HundredMilesAnHour · 03/10/2025 11:26

How I would love Lewis to get a win this weekend. If anyone deserves one, he does after the sad time he’s been having.

Actually last time I went to F1 in Singapore back in 2014, Lewis did win. It was a fantastic race. I was sitting in the grandstand opposite the pits/starting grid and within easy viewing of the podium and it was just incredible. Rosberg had car problems and we saw him come into the pits and get out of his car (before it was shown on screen/TV) and the whole grandstand cheered. Clearly a popular guy. 😂

Brazilianadventure · 04/10/2025 14:23

@HundredMilesAnHour Singapore GP is on my bucket list. I would love Lewis to win but realistically just to do well.

It’s a very tight qually session as the cars are so close. Max looking ominous from FP3.

Also would like Lewis to have a good weekend. Pole would do.

Brazilianadventure · 04/10/2025 14:58

Bearman and Hadjar doing well through to Q3.

Yes George!

Brazilianadventure · 04/10/2025 15:11

Well done George..

Max is going to win this world championship isn’t he!

I think the teams have stopped a lot of development to focus on 2026 and the cars are so close it’s literally anyone’s,

Nice to see Lewis out qualifying Charles. I don't think they can do any more with the Ferrari as it is.
Not a George fan, but he deserved that pole. Max not happy with Lando!
I'm not sure if Max can win but he is never one to underestimate. I'd like to see him win, I think he's matured a lot this year, and I've enjoyed seeing the way he has handled not being in front and having a car that outstrips everyone else.
Maclaren need to be getting behind Piastri now. They can't continue to split the points if they really want one of their drivers to win.

bluetongue · 04/10/2025 16:43

Love him or hate him you can’t deny that George is a brilliant driver.

gingercat02 · 04/10/2025 18:17

Both Williams disqualified after post quali checks for issues with their rear wing size.

mydogisthebest · 04/10/2025 18:21

I really really really hope Verstappen does not win the championship. Anyone but him

Brazilianadventure · 04/10/2025 19:06

@mydogisthebest I agree but unless the McLaren’s get their act together he could sneak it,

@gingercat02 shame for Williams. It’s all learning for them and I can see them back winning in the next couple of years which would be awesome.

George is consistent. I think Toto made a mistake trying to sign Max and trying to do a one year deal with George. It’s what they did to Lewis and he went to Ferrari - George may look else where.

JamesWebbSpaceTelescope · 04/10/2025 19:10

George should sign a 1 year contract. See which team looks good with the new regs and look around then.

Brazilianadventure · 05/10/2025 12:25

Sparkles seems to be spreading - Rebecca, Carlos’ partner, appears to have a knitted handbag charm version. How cute. I hope Sparkles helps today with the Williams starting from the pit lane.

That's how you do it Lando! I hope the damage to his front wing doesn't cause any problems 😞

Comefromaway · 05/10/2025 13:13

Oscar is not happy

Comefromaway · 05/10/2025 13:21

Go George!

Yes, there’s going to be some very “interesting” discussions post-race.

Very happy that George kicked Max’s arse at the start. George for the win!

Brazilianadventure · 05/10/2025 14:26

This is tense. Come on Lando

Glad that Hadjar has integrity (unlike Red Bull in general) or that could have been very messy. I read a quote from an interview with him recently where he was admiring how Lewis has won all his world championships by fighting mano-a-mano rather than fighting dirty and have high hopes for Hadjar. Hope he doesn’t get tainted by the Red Bull way of doing things.
