Thread two

We are over halfway through the season. It looks like the WDC will either be Lando or Oscar. Hoping for a grandstand finish in Abu Dhabi.

So Oscar managed to pip Lando to pole. Isack did so well to get 4th, he really is having a good rookie year.m

Stroll keeping his Dads mechanics busy

Comefromaway · 30/08/2025 19:38

Dd is happy.

She says the Max fans celebrated his P3 as though it was pole.

I have a soft spot for Kimi (it’s the mum in me), not so good for him.

she’s gone into Zandvoort itself tonight.

Brazilianadventure · 31/08/2025 14:14

Rain on the way.

I have to say that first lap from Max was epic and showed his innate ability.

Well done Lando

i’m watching with subtitles on today it’s hilarious, Lando’s engineer saying let’s go get Oscar came up as Let’s go to Austria. And Ollie Bearman is now Molly Bearman!

StarCourt · 31/08/2025 14:40

Hamilton off!!

Brazilianadventure · 31/08/2025 14:41

Unusual for Lewis to crash like that. Lando is right he needed to know the paint is slippy.

OMG Kimi taking out Charles.

Alonso may have made a genius pit stop.

Noooo Lando!

Brazilianadventure · 31/08/2025 15:32

Isack is going to get a podium. Wow.

But it will be nice to see Hadjar on the podium.

Neverendingdeclutter · 31/08/2025 15:35

You've got to feel for Lando. He's had an amazing weekend. Hadjar getting a podium will be nice to watch. He's so enthusiastic and seems to realise what a privileged position he's in.

F1LandoFan · 31/08/2025 15:41

I am soooooooo gutted for Lando :(((

JamesWebbSpaceTelescope · 31/08/2025 15:45

How does Lando recover from this? This probably cost him the championship, there is too big a gap now to overcome now.

Brazilianadventure · 31/08/2025 15:46

Just remember Oscar could have a DNF too. I’m not wishing that to happen but the reality is F1 can be a cruel sport.

F1LandoFan · 31/08/2025 15:54

Still a few races yet, Piastri has the risk of a DNF in one just as Lando does. All can still change. Just so very sad for him. He wouldn’t have overtaken P I’m sure but the impact of the extra points today wouldn’t have been so significant. I hope he doesn’t let it knock him too much.

gingercat02 · 31/08/2025 16:08

Wow that was a great race, sad for Lando but love Hadjar getting a podium.
Dreadful day for Ferrari
Hope your DD enjoyed it @Comefromaway

Comefromaway · 31/08/2025 16:38

Aside from the fact her favourite driver had to retire she’s had the best time.

and she’d placed £4 bet on Hadjar podium

@Comefromaway so glad she had a good time.

I love the aerial shots that show just how close the track is to the beach.

She said everything was so organised & she got to do & see everything she planned. She especially liked going to the Formula Academy paddock.

Brazilianadventure · 01/09/2025 21:17

I like back to back races as it’s only a few days before cars are back on track.

I like Monza as a race, and have fond memories of staying in both Milan and Lake Como and going to the race.

How did she find getting away from the track afterwards @Brazilianadventure?

Hearing lots of reports of it taking people many hours to get home / on a train. I know this is a common issue at most GPs but….

Comefromaway · 02/09/2025 12:02

Was that question to me?

She was camping so didn't leave until the following morning. The music etc i the fan village went on until midnight.

She left early in the morning as she wanted to drop her bags at left luggage before having a day in Amsterdam and the staff shuttle bus passed her and offered her a lift to the station!

Yes, it was, sorry! I’m such a muppet. In my defence I’m uncaffeinated today and clearly not functioning as a result. 🤦‍♀️
