We are over halfway through the season. It looks like the WDC will either be Lando or Oscar. Hoping for a grandstand finish in Abu Dhabi.

Having looked at Zandvoort it’s right by the beach and a lot of the transport is green e.g. bikes. It would be no good for me but you and DS might find that fun.

I've been looking at these two to (for our first experience as fit in with school holidays). I think im going to go for zandvoort because its the last one and there's a sprint, son is a max fan (and if we enjoy it we can go to hungaroring at another date). I'm in a wheelchair so have been looking at that aspect to and I think Zandvoort will be slightly easier to navigate. Cost wise I think there's not much difference (flights are more than eurostar, but zandvoort tickets are more). I'd be interested to know others thoughts too.

2026 is the last Zandvoort race. They have already said people with tickets for 2025 will get priority for it. I'm hoping it won't be prohibitively expensive!
We live really near the Newcastle-Amsterdam ferry so we could just drive and take loads of kit.

I love all the speculation about Toto and Fred going into each others motor homes at the Hungaroring.

Toto and Fred have been friends for decades. Plus with the 2026 regs and new teams coming in I can see why they may want to talk business. Don’t forget RB are pushing to change the engine regs for 2026.

Same! I really love this latest incarnation of Bottas with personality. He deserves the seat. I much prefer him to Checo (who’s a bit of a whinger).

Bottas is in a good place at the minute. Reckon that will make a difference to his driving.

Bottas and Perez will make a strong team. The question is how good will their car be? Lewis and Charles are both outstanding drivers but the Ferrari this season seems to be a bag of spanners so…

Delighted Bottas is back in a seat though. He deserves it. Hoping he isn’t forced to become Mr Corporate a la Mercedes days again and we continue to see his quirky personality and sense of humour.

2026 is going to be interesting with the new regulations.

So I was going to buy tickets for Zandvoort however I need disabled tickets and it looks like its going to be a lottery to get them and they won't be released till next year. So I'm going to book Hungarian GP. But how do you know which are legit sites to buy from (It looks like I need to book direct for wheelchair tickets) but how do I know its direct. I clicked through from a reddit site and it took me to this page https://hungaroring.hu/site/ which from there I can go to this ticket page https://www.gpticketshop.hu/Formula_1_HungarianGP/Formula_1.html. I'm so worried about booking everything and then getting there and the tickets aren't valid.

Thank you that's the page I linked. I think I'll go ahead and order them. This is a dream for my 16 year old who has wanted to be an f1 engineer since aged 7, he became my carer aged 5 and would never ask to go as he'd be worried about cost and my ability. So after saving up and working out logistics I'm excited (but nervous to do the wrong thing).

Dd flew to Zandvoort this morning. She is so excited. She is camping in the fan village. It was quite a trek from the station to the campsite but manageable.

she reckons prices will skyrocket next year.

That’s really quite bad releasing them when half the fans will be on their way there.
