Absolutely delighted. Our whole house is in happy-shock.

I am especially pleased for Sonny and Ange, for different reasons. Not the best game, but we played the right game. We were strong and defensive when w3e needed to be. Micky's save was a highlight!

Now wondering if Ange will stay.....

kindlyensure · 21/05/2025 23:07

COYS COYS COYS. We are all blubbing here.

Susiesue61 · 21/05/2025 23:41

Wow! Amazing! All my Liverpool fans supported us, I spent the whole game pacing and anxious 😂 Can't quite believe we won

Susiesue61 · 21/05/2025 23:42

Sorry, meant all my family ( husband and kids) are Liverpool fans

TizerorFizz · 22/05/2025 00:00

Huge relief in this house! So frazzled! Winners at last. Where did that defending and resolution come from? They really wanted it. COYS!!!

Hellohah · 22/05/2025 01:00

Congratulations to all you Spurs fans.

We've met a few of your lot over here and they've all been a lovely bunch. One even gave my friend a lift from Santander because he missed his train 🤦🏻‍♀️

DS taking it remarkably well, obviously gutted but we like Ange and it's nice to see so many teams ending their trophy droughts this season.

Not seen any highlights or heard any of the aftermath. I'll maybe save that until I'm back in Manchester (just highlighting that for the bitter one who seems to mention we have no local fans).

Oblomov25 · 22/05/2025 06:00

@Hellohah
I've been thinking about your lovely ds. Hope he's ok. I feel really sorry for him, the frustration and sadness.

I should know. All about that, we are experts at it! I mean what a shit final that was, for a neutral, 2 out of forms teams, scrambling around. Our worst season, poor form, lowest in the table, then somehow we scrape a win with a scrappy goal that wasn't even really a goal.

The mess we are in, the foundation problems, yet suddenly we are supposed to skip off and play PSG? And get beaten 15-0?

I'm pleased, thrilled with a trophy 🏆, but we have problems and issues that need addressing.

And I particularly didn't like the nasty criticism of Luke Shaw, he comes from round here, and he's best mates with Dh's closest friends son.

Anyway, onwards and upwards. Well based on our shittiest season league placing, we can only go up!

LlynTegid · 22/05/2025 07:42

You wait years for a London club to win a final and then perhaps five come along in less than three weeks- Crystal Palace, Spurs, Leyton Orient, AFC Wimbledon and Chelsea!

LlynTegid · 22/05/2025 07:49

I agree that the criticism of Luke Shaw is unacceptable, incidentally.

Tiswa · 22/05/2025 08:20

Same my Dad is Spurs and husband and kids Liverpool and they all supported together m
so pleased for Son as well

its Charlton Leyton Orient isn’t it so a London win whatever

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 22/05/2025 09:13

I also hope that people will stop saying "Spursy" now. It was a nasty gibe.

They say similar about us (Arsenal) but at least we have won some trophies in the recent past so it doesn't really matter.

TizerorFizz · 22/05/2025 09:18

Chelsea women. Chelsea have not won anything this year.

DuncinToffee · 22/05/2025 09:24

Chelsea women won the treble

Arsenal women are in the Champions League final

congrats to Spurs. Our TV doesn't work at the mo (well, it does but no channels only the 'flix) so no footy for us.

TBH sounds like we were spared something!

But look at that, Harry Kane won something, and now so have Spurs. Omens or something. (and Kane sounds a bit like crane so we can shoehorn a bird in there....)

Tiswa · 22/05/2025 12:01

I thought it was the potential for Chelsea to win the Conference League and then Wimbledon/Leyton Orient/Charlton win the play offs

TizerorFizz · 22/05/2025 12:02

@Tiswa Ah! I thought it meant trophies already won!

I think so hoping Wimbledon go up on Monday

not sure about Conference League final there is something about redemption for Antony that speaks to me

TizerorFizz · 22/05/2025 13:03

@Tiswa I’m an Oxford supporter. We had an amazing day at Wembley last year! DH is the Spurs fan. Not a great game but everyone takes a win, don’t they?!

Hellohah · 22/05/2025 14:53

@Oblomov25 DS is fine, it's character building 😂 He has amused himself with the group of your fans discussing the building of an Ange statue though. We might visit it.

Just enjoy the moment of being Champions of Europe. And worry about next season when it comes, a lot can happen through the summer and football is unpredictable, the Spurs might surprise us all 👍🏻

LlynTegid · 22/05/2025 17:18

Spurs win a trophy. Saturday sees the match with most at stake anywhere (Championship play off final).

BBC football website leads with a whinge by a Manchester United player. More bias than their political coverage.

TizerorFizz · 22/05/2025 17:38

@LlynTegid Why bias? If it’s news, it’s news. Fernandes? Says he’s for sale.Garnacho disappointed? Probably wants to leave. Fair comment. It’s the fallout from their season. This match also earned Champ league spot. Of course they are not happy. Who would be?

Fandango52 · 22/05/2025 18:20

Late to the party, but so so happy for Spurs! Totally agree with @Oblomov25’s post upthread that we have many issues in the team that need addressing, and we’re probably definitely not ready for CL football 😂😂 but I’m very happy they’ve got a trophy and it was lovely to see footage of them celebrating and holding up the trophy last night. Micky van de Ven is my new hero!

Lead stories about Manchester United almost all of the time. I know you can see Old Trafford from Media City where BBC sport are largely based, but this has got ridiculous.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 22/05/2025 22:22

The whole medal thing was a bit of a woopsy!

TizerorFizz · 22/05/2025 22:27

@LlynTegidThey are newsworthy! Fergusson stopped interviews years ago. They could try that again of course. Try being a Spurs supporter if you want to see a negative press. MU has lost its way and of course it’s going to be in the news. Look at MC earlier this season.
