I assume there must have been a fallout between him and the coaching/management

JasonTindallsTan · 25/07/2025 14:14

I think that’s very unlikely given the good relationship they’ve previously enjoyed and the enduring good relationship everyone else at the club seems to have with them. But I can see him having become frustrated with the off the pitch stuff in the transfer market.

And another target signs for city after we have piss farted about and quibbled over a few million. I am dismayed at how badly this summer is panning out for us.

LlynTegid · 25/07/2025 15:17

Surely the most important thing for every Newcastle fan is getting six points from two wins over Sunderland?

MaybeNotBob · 26/07/2025 20:29

I don't want to preempt things too much, but it looks like we might be signing a striker...

Do you agree that he looks like Robin Van Persie?

MaybeNotBob · 26/07/2025 21:41

Not particularly. Maybe the ears. Hopefully he's not a selfish little git.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 27/07/2025 14:53

Wow. 15 year old Max Dowman running rings around Joelinton.

I thought Cole Palmer was the best young player I had ever seen, but Max seems to be even better.

Have you seen the AFTV video with the Batman masks - I found it hilarious and thought it was satire. DS swears it is serious! Either way it is genius

Hope Max Dowman can reach his potential and handled properly I can’t help think Lamal Yamal hasn’t been with the stuff about him

He was brilliant. And had to put up with Newcastle's agricultural approach as well.

MaybeNotBob · 27/07/2025 19:35

Oh no! Penalties...

MaybeNotBob · 27/07/2025 19:47

Well done Arsenal!

Fandango52 · 27/07/2025 19:52

Unbelievable!! They were fantastic. Especially proud the Hannah Hampton saved a penalty from Bonmatí!

I saw few clips, special talent indeed.

Everton join Chelsea and Aston Villa in selling their women's teams to ... Themselves.

Not breaching any rules and allows leeway in PSR.

We enter the era of obviously creative accounting in the PL 😂

DuncinToffee · 29/07/2025 12:33

Our new owners are finally running the club as a business.

They are also serious about investing in and promoting the women's game.

Sad to see what is happening to Sheffield Wednesday and Morecambe - unfit, unscrupulous owners have screwed them every which way.

That’s great news 🥳🥳

Hopefully the Lionesses’ second win(!!) will mean all our clubs invest in women’s football properly now and give it the attention it deserves.

And hopefully the win spurs our Three Lions on to repeat that next year in the USA! Well, one can dream, and I know you can’t just win based on willpower alone, but let’s all keep our fingers crossed and our hopes high 🥳

DuncinToffee · 29/07/2025 14:36

I didn't realise that Rashford is the first male English player to join Barcelona since Gary Lineker.

Oh that’s interesting! Sounds like GL had a brilliant time there and I hope Rashford does too 😊 Wishing him all the best.

Sad to see what is happening to Sheffield Wednesday and Morecambe - unfit, unscrupulous owners have screwed them every which way.

So now our trainer has gone (I don't blame Röhl but some "fans" are taking it very badly.)

And now our north stand is restricted use due to structursl issues. Meanwhile the Leppings lane end disorder partially restricted yes (structural issues). And who knows if the next lot of wages will be paid. Or, indeed, if all the outstanding wages are paid.

I am upset and angry in equal measure.

Lucas Paqueta has been cleared of spot-fixing charges - news just out now.

Not the first, not the last, and the football regulator will not do anything to stop it.

Lucas Paqueta has been cleared of spot-fixing charges - news just out now.

It was apparently decided a few days ago, it’s been all the chat in my West Ham groups. All the official statements and reports are out today though and so relieved for him. It ended up stopping him being transferred and just then trying to play with the stress of it so he wasn’t at his best so I’m glad it’s over now for him.

Tarkan · 01/08/2025 08:27

Flag day for us tonight at Gayfield. Match is on BBC Scotland (available via iPlayer) too so I need to be on my best behaviour.

I’m also at the hospital this afternoon to have a 3 day heart monitor fitted so the results from that could be fun depending on how the match goes. 😁 (Btw nothing major going on, I have SVT so it’s just a routine thing).

burblish · 01/08/2025 10:13

@Tarkan Good luck on both fronts!
