Absolutely shocked sarcasm to see that MLS misses games against Man City and Newcastle.

Micheal Oliver should never referee an Arsenal game again.
Even the neutrals/commentators etc can see it this time.
Blatant corruption.

Agree with @MaybeNotBob he literally gives cards against us that no other team or in any scenario will ever be given again.

But there is no accountability or recourse.
Terrible.
Don't let the 3 points cover up the shocking decision-supported by this mates on VAR

DuncinToffee · 25/01/2025 17:27

Hard agree with that Bob

Phew, Everton, 2 wins in a row and blood pressure sky high 💙Grin

I haven't paid attention to any other matches, off to see what happened

Yes, what a roller coaster of a game.

We had justice on our side and luckily we got what we deserved in spite of Michael Oliver's best efforts.

Really impressed with the way the team played especially without Oedegaard.

Fingers crossed that the red is overturned but I am not holding my breath.

Well done @DuncinToffee

MrsMitford3 · 25/01/2025 18:09

I don't think it will be over turned either.
Which is infuriating.

Saw this on twitter:

Do you understand how bad a decision needs to be for Pat Nevin, Mark Chapman and Alan Sheerer to all agree that ARSENAL have been unfairly treated… INSANE decision!

AndNobbyDancing · 25/01/2025 18:59

Really glad Tarkan that you are ok, and lovely to see the support that Gayfield has. Hopefully it will end up being a positive, my local rugby club had storm damage a few years ago and actually from an infrastructure pov it was the best thing that could have happened in the long run.

girlsyearapart · 25/01/2025 19:05

@DuncinToffee on the train on way home from the match, we were dreadful today. No urgency at all. Slightly better in the second half but at one point you lot only had 9 men playing and we STILL couldn’t score 🙄🤯

AndNobbyDancing · 25/01/2025 19:07

To the matches, I was at the Bournemouth game due to work (I find this all a bit difficult, was born a Saints supporter but always followed Bournemouth as a lower league, easy to get tickets club, it wasn't that long ago that you could turn up and watch them play friendlies in a field) and they were absolutely fabulous, really a joy. It just doesn't seem possible they are a top ten team

My friend was at Southampton with my ticket, normal performance, it just seems like a foregone conclusion.

DuncinToffee · 25/01/2025 19:13

I didn't expect that Bournemouth score line, I thought it would be very tight match but well done Bournemouth.

The red card for Lewis-Skelly was a really terrible decision.

I only had radio commentary, what happened at the end with the handbags? Commentary cut away at that point, think the commentators needed a drink.

I don’t know I only saw it on the monitors as I was leaving. Pickford had been winding everyone up with his time wasting so maybe that

TheSleepingGiant · 25/01/2025 19:46

Not seen any games just scores, will catch MOTD and EFL Show later.

Gills needed a Tranmere own goal to come away with a point this afternoon 🙄

Michael Oliver is a refereeing pioneer. He tries out new rules on Arsenal, only to never be seen again.

Remember the Martinelli double yellow for the same move? - which was a foul throw btw - never seen it applied since.

Such a trailblazer

Worst case scenario he gets a multimillion pound payout and straight in to a new job within three months?!

Dreadful if they sack Ange, short sighted - Tottenham do not deserve to do well with their current board of management.

Complete resignation from me now and it's only January.

Well, that will be good for Everton I think.

He wants MC to win the league, so he should give a few red cards to Liverpool.

In what other job can you fail so dismally and then get a plum assignment right after???
The whole thing is rotten to the core with no accountability and no transparency.

Total cronyism including some of the Sky sports pundits-I am looking at you Gary Neville. Who uses his podcast to tear down Arsenal's set piece coach and call him names, mock him etc but doesn't have the balls to speak against any PGMOL decision.

Lots of ex-player pundits including some who are def NOT Arsenal fans have all spoken up about it not being a red card.

I'm surprised about GN as he came over as likeable on Dragons Den and won me over. Perhaps he is just a good actor.

I can never forgive him for what he did to Reyes.
Kicked him alll over the pitch.

I hold a very long grudge...

DuncinToffee · 01/02/2025 17:32

I haven't had much to celebrate lately but WE WON again!!!
