I am sad about Luton too as we live quite close.

There is a lot of hate on the BBC HYS. What have I missed?

Shame for Luton fans. Wednesday's season was - meh but at least we stay in the Championship.
Gladbach were absolutely dire yesterday throwing away a 2-0 lead to draw 4-4 against Hoffenheim. And we only got the point with a very late equaliser. The fans were less than enthusiastic.

When Gladbach left the Böckelberg it was emotional, but we've been in the Borussia park for 25 years now so it's become home. The old stadium is now a housing estate and part of the terraces have been incorporated into a playpark, and one garden has the centre spot which they have preserved.

Böckelberg sounds a lot like the development planned for Goodison.

It’s tricky isn’t it with grounds we went to the Euros and visited Dortmund ground and Schalke ground. Gelsenkirchen was all new lovely views colourful and modern. Dortmund is all concrete, dark and claustrophobic but it did make for an intense atmosphere (not helped by the lightening storm stoppage).

I think it needs to feel like home and I think that can take time - but some of the old style atmosphere can be lost - it’s why I think Bodo/Glint is such a difficult place and why bigger teams struggle at the smaller grounds because they are more intense

that Schalke stadium is absolutely stunning. I've done a few tours there and it really is high tech (underground watering system is like something NASA would build, and the playing area is slid out of the stadium into a special area where it gets a measured amount of light, water and nutrients etc, and is only in the stadium when they need it to play on. also in a lovely nod to the coal-mining area it's in, the tunnel is like an old mine shaft going through a coal seam.

Yes it is the nicest stadium I have ever been too - it also helps it was England Slovakia we watched with the Jude Bellingham goal.

haha - we'll get to see him in Lederhosen again (they have a thing where they all gather on the balcony of the town hall in München with the trophy)

Not surprised to see Trent Alexander-Arnold has confirmed he will be leaving Liverpool. He hasn't admitted it's for Real Madrid, but it's about the worst kept secret in football! Inevitable but nevertheless disappointing.

Ohhh I thought this was already annouced..or just worse kept secret?

I think the hatred of Luton is not just about Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, it goes a long way back. Post Eric Morecambe they had a very nasty Tory MP as a director, and Luton like many car industry towns has suffered from dereliction.

I don't think so. They want Xabi Alonso. I would be utterly stunned if Klopp went there (but I suppose there were plenty of people who were stunned that he took the Red Bull gig!).

Anyone watching Inter v Barca? What a game again!

The second leg of the Inter-Barca tie is turning into another classic - just as in the first leg, Inter went 2-0 up but Barca levelled. Barca are looking well on top at the mo with half an hour to go and the tie at 5-5 on aggregate - there are more goals to come, I reckon!
