Football fans join in to share the joy, the heartache and VAR frustration ⚽

“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.”

Safely through for Brighton.
Absolutely delighted to see Solly March on the score sheet after over a year out injured. Something like 400 days I think. Also I believe that's his 3rd serious knee injury- takes a lot of determination to come back from that.

going into the stadium yesterday - it was -1°C - we bumped into 2 chaps over from Brighton (they'd been to the Dortmund match on Friday). There is (now frozen) snow on the ground, so really wintery. And the young fellow was in trainers, jeans and a thin tracksuit top. "yea, cock-up on the clothing front" said he. But happy with their win.

We lost 0-1 to Bayern, to a soft (Kane) penalty. Boo. But my takeaway: Bayern had 11 corners, and didn't score from any of them. I guess they'll be practicing the set pieces next week. (other takeaway: Gladbach can defend a corner well)

Boro lost, Wednesday out on penalties. ho hum.

Tamworth showing why it is a disgrace that replays have been removed from the FA cup.

100% agree with this. Absolute joke getting rid of something that has always been an exciting and traditional part of a historical cup. Tamworth should be deservedly looking forward to a replay and the monetary fortune that comes with it.

Oblomov24 · 12/01/2025 15:09

Tamworth should be very proud.

Cuwins · 12/01/2025 15:21

@Brefugee similar temps here!

What a match at the Emirates!

Well, that was both depressing and yet somehow inevitable.

We're not going to win anything this season. Too many injuries now.

We've been saying for a couple of years we need a striker of some sort, and now it's even more desperate - but who's available?

So Arteta will presumably buy another left back...

Oh Arsenal 🤭

Yes, we didn't deserve to win.

I am pleased that we are out as we need to ensure that we get a CL place which is going to be tough with the way we are playing.

There is no point in trying to go for anything else.

We have been saying we need a striker since Lukaku left in 2017 ....

Yes, it was depressing as it shows how bad we are, but it is good that we are out as we can't afford any more injuries.
