Football fans join in to share the joy, the heartache and VAR frustration ⚽

“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.”

We were dreadful last night but it was deffo a pen.

hey Ho, onwards and upwards.

WH had the game of their lives. I hope they have calmed down by the time we play them on Saturday.

Oblomov24 · 28/11/2024 20:03

Dh got a ticket for ds1 to attend spurs v AS Roma tonight.

Cuwins · 28/11/2024 20:32

I'm really looking forward to watching Brighton v Southampton on tv tomorrow night- that probably means it will all go wrong 😂
But the chance to be 2nd in the premier league even if only for 24hrs is amazing.

Well I suppose we managed not too loose but that was frustrating. Still 2nd though!

It was amazing Cuwins I honestly thought it was going to be a drubbing.

For us a point is a point, but we need to do so much better.

Arbroath at home to Queen of the South in the Scottish Cup today. I probably won't be going though, it's not included in my season ticket but the bigger issue is that I fell down the stairs (just the bottom few) a few days ago and I'm very sore so the idea of sitting down on a hard foldy plastic seat when there's not enough space for your knees so they hit the ridge of the seat in front sounds like hell today when I'm basically bruised in my whole lower half. 🙈

But we're at home next week in the league. And playing Queen of the South there too. 🤣 So I'll be at that one.

DuncinToffee · 30/11/2024 17:07

Ouch Tarkan, right decision not to sit on the plastc seats then 🤕

@AndNobbyDancing the 2nd half you definitely had moments of showing some real promise. 1st half though we should have been 3 or 4 nil up

Brefugee · 30/11/2024 18:01

blimey, @Tarkan that sounds painful, I'd skip the hard plastic seats too.

Gladbach lost today, away to Freiburg, idiots. DH is happy about the Boro result though.

EboueEboue · 30/11/2024 18:22

This game is mental!

EboueEboue · 30/11/2024 19:50

Second half a bit quieter!

Tarkan · 30/11/2024 20:10

Arbroath lost 1-0 today so another reason to be glad I couldn't go. Hopefully we'll do better next week and hopefully I'm less sore then. Thanks all for the messages about it. I'm just a clumsy idiot. 🤣

And well the West Ham v Arsenal match. That first half was crazy. I'm guessing they were all told at half time to calm themselves down. I expected we'd likely lose but didn't expect chaos along the way.

burblish · 01/12/2024 18:03

This week, Liverpool beat Real Madrid 2-0 and Man City 2-0 and, in both games, the scoreline hugely flattered the losing side. But apparently it's all because those teams are low on confidence and have injuries to key players. As Slot pointed out before the Madrid match, Liverpool also have first choice players out injured, but nobody talks about your injuries when you're winning. It's all good - we will take points on the board over credit in the press any day!

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2024 08:45

Ah well, I got my highest FPL score so that is at least something Grin

ohhh Sheffield Wednesday won again. 😁

EboueEboue · 02/12/2024 19:31

Oh FFS! We get the only tricky draw!

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2024 19:33

😅Eboue

Peterborough at Goodison, hopefully with a new manager

Tamworth away 😱will probably concede the first goal knowing us!

Tarkan · 02/12/2024 19:58

Away at Villa. Definitely feel other teams got much easier draws. 🙈 Bet that'll be us out.

A few little derbies set up I spotted though.

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2024 20:05

Ashley Young's son Tyler plays for Peterborough Shock

Brefugee · 02/12/2024 20:25

Urgh. Coventry away

Cuwins · 02/12/2024 21:41

Norwich for us. I'm a bit torn as to how much we should give to this to be honest. Part of me says we actually have a decent chance of doing well in the cups so we should go full strength but on the other hand we are fighting for European football again (at the moment anyway) which would be massive so maybe we shouldn't risk some of the first team.

burblish · 04/12/2024 21:36

Mohamed Salah. No other words needed!
