Football fans join in to share the joy, the heartache and VAR frustration ⚽

“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.”

Thats why I never understood Chelsea buying him. He was ok at Brighton- moments of brilliance but a lot of moments of 🤦‍♀️ too.

Had a lot of moments again today to 🤣 was stressful watching him come to catch the ball and miss it many times. Bless

TheSleepingGiant · 23/11/2024 20:08

Excellent Spurs win, on it all game, no lapses in concentration or switching off. Pleasing to see a rare solid defensive performance also, Ben Davies my MOTM. Certainly cheered me up after coming home from the Gillingham game frozen, soaked and robbed of a point against Harrogate 😞

EboueEboue · 23/11/2024 20:45

Stay humble eh, Erling? Stay humble...

What did he do? I have seen quite a few comments saying that

He did bugger all. And they've lost 5 on the bounce since he said that to Arteta.

Karma, perhaps...

DuncinToffee · 23/11/2024 20:53

Ah, thanks Grin

@LetsGoFlyAKiteee
Yes I remember that feeling well!

MrsMitford3 · 23/11/2024 22:49

Stay humble indeed.

The most beautiful karma and God def a Gooner...

What did he do? I have seen quite a few comments saying that

After City managed a draw in the 98th minute against a 10 man Arsenal Haaland was over celebrating/beefing with the Arsenal players-saying things like who are you etc to a young player and then said to Arteta "Stay humble eh. Stay humble"

What an absolute twat he is.

TheSleepingGiant · 24/11/2024 16:14

Steve Coopers been sacked from Leicester. Bit surprised at that tbh.

DuncinToffee · 24/11/2024 16:46

Yes, I didn't see that coming.

Wish we would do the same with Dyche but I don't think anything will happen whilst the proposed take-over is going on.

Edited

i really can't stand him - every time he has something approaching a shot at goal that doesn't go in for some reason, he gurns and does all that "how the fuck didn't i, a football god, score that?" offputting

Chez Bref has not been a bad footballing weekend. The Mighty Sheffield Wednesday drew one all (but should have beaten Cardiff at home)
Then DHs team won, Gladbach Under 23s won, Gladbach women got into the quarter final of the DFB cup and Gladbach have just won 2-0 against St Pauli. (great first half, went 2-0 up then were... odd in the 2nd half. Nobody should be nervous at 2-0 for a whole half, but there it is)

But none of our teams lost. Fabulous

@Brefugee I once saw someone wrote he looks like that giant toddler at soft play that has snot on his lip and pushes all the littler kids over and I now cannot un-see that image 😂

Brefugee · 25/11/2024 11:55

Perfect!

Tarkan · 25/11/2024 20:06

Just ran out quickly for some wine before the Newcastle v West Ham match. Has to be done. 😁 COYI ⚒️

Oblomov24 · 25/11/2024 20:45

Watching Newcastle v West Ham too.

Tarkan · 26/11/2024 00:36

Well I have to say I enjoyed that but I did think we had given away a penalty, was surprised when it wasn't tbh.

burblish · 26/11/2024 09:44

I am really enjoying how unpredictable PL results have been so far this season - there are fascinating stories shaping up all over the table.

MrsMitford3 · 26/11/2024 22:08

What a CL night!!!

Think I want "Stay humble eh" on a t-shirt.

JasonTindallsTan · 26/11/2024 22:11

We were dreadful last night but it was deffo a pen.

hey Ho, onwards and upwards.

EboueEboue · 26/11/2024 23:38

Good night for us. Good to see most players back. Hopefully we're coming back to form.

Still need more "humbling" for Haaland...

Brefugee · 27/11/2024 09:00

<sings> Sheffield Wednesday olé, Sheffield Wednesday olé"</sings>

feeling slightly better about the season now. And Gladbach 6th in the table.

Yes, but I was very worried at the beginning of the second half. We could easily have done a Man City, but luckily they got their act together.

I watched the U19s vs Sporting as well. What a talent Max Dowman is. He is only 14 and the only way Sporting could stop him was to foul him (they badly injured him right at the end, I hope he is ok).

We lost 3 nil, but he tried to be a one-man team, he was playing everywhere.

I hope we manage to keep him (unlike Obi).

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 27/11/2024 13:18

Also, I wish Gabriel would grow up. Mocking people is not on. Pride comes before a fall, didn't his parents ever tell him that.

He seems to have stopped giving goal scorers brain damage by hitting them on the head thank goodness.

He needs to start acting like an adult.
