Surprised that anyone can try and defend Bentancur’s comments as not being racist. It is a well known racist trope of ‘oh they all look the same’. Doesn’t mean he is a racist but that kind of thing has to be called out and not perpetuated.

I’d like to see Chappers as the front man for MOTD. I don’t mind Alex Scott but I don’t think she’s right to front that show.

Great to see Lewis Hall get on last night for England. Hope Tino gets a shot on Sunday.

In the pub watching Scotland v Croatia tonight. We've been lucky a few times and I don't know if them losing a man will change the second half.

@Oblomov24 What Bentancur said was completely racist and utterly demeaning towards Asians. I'm from South Asia and, growing up in Britain, would hear comments like that all the time, based on the racist trope of "they all look the same". I also used to get told I look like [insert any old random South Asian woman on any TV show; bonus points if they play medical professionals] when the only common feature I had with them was brown skin. He is lucky Son forgave him but that does not in any way negate the racist nature of what he said. I actually gasped in disbelief and disgust when I read it.

Well those 'fringe players' performed far better against 'the mighty Greece' than most of our more established ones did at Wembley.
Maybe Carsley got his tactics wrong but they certainly didn't impress and the team looked far more balanced this week.

A needed win for Scotland today too so we get a relegation playoff rather than just dropping down to league B like Poland now have. I think that's how this one is working? It's been really confusing. 🙈

And I noticed Bowen scored his first goal for England yesterday so I'm pleased for him there.

DH has told me that Dumbarton FC is going into administration. They're in our league too. If they got the same points penalty as Caley Thistle did then that would put Dumbarton bottom on zero points.

There are only 10 teams in our league so it's a bit worrying when a fifth of them have had this already this season.

I know money has been tight at Arbroath especially when it came to replacing the manager and I'm getting the feeling we were very close to it ourselves.

Feel for Portsmouth - have driven past the team bus and supporters on the motorway today all heading to Blackburn - and it's just been called off due to the weather.

Arbroath were meant to be away at Kelty Hearts today and that's been called off for snow too. Hopefully early enough that they hadn't started travelling, that's got to be the worst if people have a long journey and the team and fans are all on their way.

We don't have snow here but it's so windy and rainy I'm glad we weren't waiting to see if a home match was going ahead anyway.

Well it seems that pretty much all the Scottish games are off. They've delayed the Premiership ones to various kick off times at least so there should be matches there eventually.

Montrose v Annan (league one) is meant to be going ahead but it's saying 4pm now so I don't know if the away team have made it up yet. Montrose aren't far up the coast from us and it's just been wet and windy rather than the snow that elsewhere seems to have but it's quite a journey from Annan.

The Montrose match has been delayed by another hour. DH has just seen someone saying "what a day to be in hospitality". 🙈

So Spurs?! Lose 2-1 to Ipswich ( at home) I take Maddison out of my FPL and he scores twice against Man City!
I’m Just hope Ipswich can get something against Man U tomorrow. 🤞
