I've never got on with booing (either team, unless they're doing a time-wasting thing or faking injury to get another player sent off or carded etc) And I'm fighting a losing battle to get the Germans who sit near me to sing "we know where your car is" (i was doing a LOT of that yesterday - one thing i can't abide is inconsistent refereeing)
But i was in St Pancras today, and saw a load of Arsenal fans with faces like slapped arses. I wondered how many they lost by - and when i saw the result i couldn't believe they weren't all singing and dancing.
As for leaving early. We used to park in the car park right near the "kop" entrance at Gladbach. It would regularly take an hour to even be able to back out of our spot, let alone get out and drive the 20 minutes home.
we played (Austrian) Wolfsburger AC in the Europa League/Cup whatever it's called a few years ago and we were dire (lost 0-6) and by the 65th minute there were barely any spectators left. We stayed because we always do. And it took us precicely 1 minute to get out of the car park and onto the Autobahn. Dire.
