Darts World Championships 2024

Well it's that time of the year again, the Darts World Championships kick off tomorrow.

Any thoughts on this year? The bookies seemed to be keen on Gary Anderson but odds have dropped (?) to 14/1 now, it wouldn't surprise me if Luke Humphries wins but I dare say I find him quite boring. I had been rooting for Smith the last couple of years and was so glad he won last year!

I know these threads don't normally get busy until closer to Christmas, and I won't actually be watching tomorrow but it's here for anyone wanting to chat!

Great evening of matches last night, we have zero plans today so I've plonked myself on the sofa with a circle of snacks around me and plan to watch most of today, come on Bunting!

@ICANTSPEYK I do like MVG but I'd love to see Bunting get through.

I don't know why but I fancy Gezzy as an each way bet for the title. I can't stand him but I've got an inkling.

Used to do well on the session betting (eg how many 180s, what finishes etc) but the odds are rubbish this year so far.

Yeah I've always done ok with the little bits of betting I do (£130 from Smith winning when I had put a few quid on an outright on in the August before) but I've not really bothered at all this year as the odds are dire. I had £1 kicking about in my paddy power account so I stuck it on 1000+ 180's, I don't think it will come in although Smith and Doney helped me out this afternoon

What a turnaround for Humphries, I didn't really care who won (not particularly a fan of either of them) but once Pietereckzo got ahead I decided to start rooting for him
