Darts World Championships 2024

Well it's that time of the year again, the Darts World Championships kick off tomorrow.

Any thoughts on this year? The bookies seemed to be keen on Gary Anderson but odds have dropped (?) to 14/1 now, it wouldn't surprise me if Luke Humphries wins but I dare say I find him quite boring. I had been rooting for Smith the last couple of years and was so glad he won last year!

I know these threads don't normally get busy until closer to Christmas, and I won't actually be watching tomorrow but it's here for anyone wanting to chat!

I can't remember who normally partakes other than I think @JaneJeffer ?

It started as a 'can he really be 16' but turned really nasty with comments on his appearance :( I'm glad it's gone.

He was interviewed on Sky this morning (after his kebab 😂) and seems to be taking it all in his stride

Oh typical MN then.

I think everyone can agree he could pass as older than 16 but not sure why it has blown up so much! I had people at work, who have absolutely no interest in darts, asking me about it as they had seen it all over social media and the news. He's definitely got his name out there that's for sure.

I was out last night so missed all of yesterday's matches but we have a completely free day so looking forward to catching most of today's.

I love Clayton so excited for that one and would also love Beaton to win again and then it's a great line up for the evening session too!

Ahhh gutted for Beaton after a boring first half I really thought he had a chance of pulling that back, some really great darts from him in those last 2 sets. Who knows maybe he will be persuaded not to retire after all...

I'm a big fan of Wadey. It might be because he takes a very down to earth approach to his mental health and is very open about it.

Was gutted he went out early, his form has been better recently
