i don't read much about it, but I'm sure that there is the odd comment coming from the stands, probably similar to UK?

EddieHoweisMYmanager · 05/04/2023 20:20

Well this is rather a smashing start for Eddie Howe’s absolutely class Mags.

DuncinToffee · 05/04/2023 21:16

Lampard to Chelsea as interim manager?

A strange one but I wish him well if it happens.

EddieHoweisMYmanager · 05/04/2023 22:01

Well that turned out to be a Fucking fantastic evening of football!

AndNobbyDancing · 05/04/2023 23:26

Nightmare at work so missed the Newcastle game, shame as liked the result.

I've heard that as well Dunc think he will need more than good luck mind.

Still hoping Potter is heading to Saints.

Mumsafan · 05/04/2023 09:33

Two terribly poor teams LFC and Chelsea.

Glad I gave my ticket to DH's mate and waved them happily off to London.

Had to laugh when Sky reported it as a "mid table clash".... LFC and Chelsea, a mid table clash 😏

Mumsafan · 06/04/2023 10:38

TBF I think Chelsea have the players , just lacking a manager up to the job. (can't see them keeping Frank but probably a good choice to get him as caretaker.)

LFC - have the manager but players are now getting on, and some (like Keita) have been a waste of money due to injuries. Complete failure to refresh each year. This is the almost the same thing that happened in the 90s/00s.

The loss of Gini and Mane had a massive effect on the team.

I also always keep an eye on Notts County as my DF played for them in the 50s/60s when football was very different. Been a great season for them so far, but sad that they will probably get 100 points and still not go up automatically.

RavenT · 06/04/2023 12:08

Hi, I'm a Forest fan of 30 years, I posted when this initially started but have been awol since. Hope I can now join and post again. 😊
I am pleased we're sticking with Cooper (for now) but still feel we're doomed,..... So many teams involved in the relegation battle this year.

Tarkan · 06/04/2023 12:12

Like Raven I was here a while ago but lost the thread.

I actually support 3 teams. Blush Two Scottish and one English.

I support my local team Arbroath (and have a season ticket for them) but I'm originally from Glasgow and I've supported Rangers since I was 5.

My English team is because my gran was from Romford so I also support West Ham. And well the least said about that appalling match last night the better.

DoingALeicester · 06/04/2023 12:43

I'm back as a very depressed Leicester fan. I'm sort of reconciled to going down now.

AndNobbyDancing · 06/04/2023 12:49

You and me both @DoingALeicester we shouldn't have sacked Hasenhüttl.

DuncinToffee · 06/04/2023 13:21

It's horrible isn't it, checking the results of clubs below and above you and hoping for the best

OP posts:
Mumsafan · 06/04/2023 15:04

So tight at the bottom and up to 10th - anyone could go down.

DuncinToffee · 06/04/2023 15:19

Lampard appointed as interim manager, guess players will at least know him as it was reported that some players hadn't heard of Potter.....

Chelsea fans happy(ish)?

Anyone else at Wembley tonight for the women’s Finalissima? Early doors and already a great atmosphere!

DuncinToffee · 06/04/2023 19:21

A poster on the women football thread is there. Have fun!

I've seen Son score a hat trick at Tottenham, despite not loving Spurs I do love Son.

Five live said Bournemouth didn't seem like a team fighting relegation, but then conceded that was just because Leicester were so poor. Massive win for them today.

Saints firmly stuck on the bottom, I hoped Easter may provide a miracle.

Good Newcastle and West Ham win, funny that a Wolves win at Chelsea doesn't seem that much.

Big Leeds game tomorrow. Do find it weird this recycling of managers

EddieHoweisMYmanager · 08/04/2023 21:34

Watching the Newcastle match was A Lot today.

Some questionable VAR decisions but again we ground out the win regardless. I did wonder if Toney had a bet on us to win like after his first penalty. It was awful! Eddie Howe deserves manager of the season for some of the results he has managed to turn around with this being one of the notable best.

DuncinToffee · 09/04/2023 12:08

And again

The PGMOL has admitted a mistake was made by the match officials and VAR when not awarding a penalty to Brighton in Saturday's Premier League game against Tottenham

Not much use to Brighton Confused

Massive game for Notts County tomorrow Mumsafan

Brighton saying there were no fewer that 5 instances that the ref and VAR got wrong. On Talkshite they were saying they could see at least 3 instances that could have led to goals for Brighton.

I can sympathise, we've had more than one of those against us this season.

DH said the first thing he thought when he woke this am was how shit that ref was and how typical...
And felt the same when the ref admitted after that Brentford should have had a goal disallowed but that doesn't give us the points does it?
Loved Arteta saying basically that-moral victory no good in PL

Think VAR so far from what it was meant to be.

The reviews/hawkeye etc in cricket so so good but in football the technology seems slow, shit and still prone to human error bias

Currently a bit nervy here for the Arsenal game

DuncinToffee · 09/04/2023 15:46

Brighton really got done yesterday by the referee decisions

We have had a few of those apologies and have been on the wrong end of decisions plenty of times.

Leeds is getting thrashed by Crystal Palace, fans leaving in droves after that 4th goal.

I think I need a lie-down after Liverpool v Arsenal. What a match!
