Ok, thanks.

They still aren't saying where we can watch them? I think there might be an issue with rights like there is for the women's world cup.

DuncinToffee · 14/06/2023 16:10

I can't find any information on where to watch it.

First games of the season announced. How is everyone feeling ? We are at home to Luton Town. Really pleased with that. Should be a great atmosphere with it being Luton's first game in the Premier League. I think we are a pretty welcoming bunch down on the South Coast so I hope they have a great day. Looking forward to welcoming them !

EddieHoweisMYmanager · 15/06/2023 09:38

We have a tough start to the season although we do start off at home so that’s something. Bear in mind we only got beaten by 4 teams last season in the PL, we play 3 of them off the bounce in August.

If we win then my money is on us for the league 😂

And why not ! You are up there in the predictions (always a good way to jinx things 😶)

EddieHoweisMYmanager · 15/06/2023 09:47

I can’t wait!

Disappointing to see Ruben Neves is off to Saudi Arabia. Shameful sportswashing issues aside, I get why players at the tail-end of their careers are tempted by the massive pay-off, but Neves is 26 years old and in the very prime of his playing career. Maybe he felt he had no choice if Wolves were determined to cash in with Al Hilal the biggest bidder. Still feels like a waste to me, though.

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 19/06/2023 12:12

Agree entirely. He has a say though, so he must have more greed than ambition.

DuncinToffee · 19/06/2023 12:43

The Saudi league is dodgy as heck but it makes me laugh seeing fans trying to sell them their unwanted players.

I was surprised that Messi chose Inter Miami (poor Phil Neville getting fired just before)

Another surprise, Bournemouth sack Gary O'Neill

I really don’t understand this decision - I thought he did a fantastic job for them, keeping them up comfortably and playing some great football too. Is this just another example of a club making it to the Prem and losing perspective of what their expectations and ambitions should realistically be?

DuncinToffee · 19/06/2023 13:11

It is a very strange decision, maybe there will be an explanation later?

DH and I just had this conversation. I’m really surprised at this!

DuncinToffee · 19/06/2023 15:11

That was quick, they have appointed Andoni Iraola as head coach.

No idea who he is.

bloody hell fire, Wednesday. Darren Moore isn't the best trainer in the universe but he was definitely doing something right last season. So here we are going straight back to League 1.

AndNobbyDancing · 19/06/2023 22:20

And Brefugee, I didn't think I'd ever say this but I almost hope you do. I don't have time for this lack of loyalty, one thing getting rid of managers that don't have success but when they turn things around and achieve something they should be given a chance. I'm all for transfer windows for managers (although appreciate this would probably be the transfer window)

AFCB supporters group are not supporting the decision to sack ON. There seemed to be some support when rumour of a big manager was coming. But 11th in La Liga....

burblish · 19/06/2023 23:43

@Brefugee That really surprised me, too. It seems that even when they win, managers lose. As @AndNobbyDancing says, the lack of loyalty leaves such a bad taste.

DuncinToffee · 19/06/2023 23:53

It doesn't say that Darren Moore has been sacked, maybe it was his decision?

Otherwise it stinks

Brefugee · 20/06/2023 07:42

official club statement, in a ghastly echo of the statement by Gladbach when they shoved our trainer out a few weeks ago, was "mutual agreement"

Maybe i'm a bad luck omen? (There has even been a trainer that has trained both clubs!)

EddieHoweisMYmanager · 20/06/2023 10:12

Just renewed our season tickets and opted into all cups including UCL.

Take all of my money…
