@LetsGoFlyAKiteee SJP is not an easy place to come right now and I for one am bloody loving it! It will be our 3rd match in the space of a week though so you never know, we might have tired legs <we won’t, Eddie Howe has coached these players so they’re fitness levels are through the roof!! 😉>

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 29/10/2022 23:35

You say that, but it's been evident for the past few weeks that the number of games has led to Arsenal dropping points, and I suspect your players are no fitter than Odegaard.

DuncinToffee · 29/10/2022 23:46

We weren't great in the second half but I take the point. Would have lost the match last season.

It looks like Jesse Marsch has bought himself so more time Smile

As a Leeds fan, I have been on the fence about JM for a few weeks.

After full time, I saw numerous players run over to him and hug him. Says to me that they know they saved his job for now and the players still have respect for him. So, let’s push on.

4 points out of the next 2 games would be nice.
Oh, and either sign a striker in Jan or start playing Joffy & Gnoto over Bamford!

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 31/10/2022 19:08

Good result against Forest. I hope Saka is OK though.

Good to see Nelson doing well. I remember seeing him as a teenager and thinking he had something special about him, much as the first time I saw Fabregas. I hope he can push on to the next level now.

What a result for Leeds.

Saints however...

Oblomov22 · 01/11/2022 22:09

Spurs win group in champions league. But it was so painful. So awful 1st half. Why?

WhiteHartLane · 02/11/2022 07:43

I'm getting used to the game of 2 halves @Oblomov22 Loved and hated that game in equal measures, exciting how their group changed endless times during the one match. Still they are through and on top. COYS.

AndNobbyDancing · 02/11/2022 11:40

Weren't they just awful first half. As a neutral I enjoyed last night, had both the Spurs and the EF/SL on. Kids delighted with the result.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 02/11/2022 17:59

Spurs are such a odd side this season. One minute looks like Conte has lost the plot the next..pulls it back

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 02/11/2022 18:54

I don't understand Sp*rs at the moment. They're playing the most ghastly anti-football, but still fluking winners in the 90th minute. It's bizarre.

As for Conte - For someone who keeps calling out other managers for moaning, he doesn't half moan a lot...

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 05/11/2022 00:39

Ah, just remembering Titi in all his glory.

It's a disgrace he was never given the Ballon d'Or, but for some reason Arsenal are never given the respect.

BitOutOfPractice · 05/11/2022 12:37

At last! Wolves have a manager! First choice as well.

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 05/11/2022 19:53

For any other Gooners out there, a brilliant Adidas/Arsenal advert

Brefugee · 05/11/2022 22:08

I'm glad the Leeds players at least appreciate JM. I just love that clip of him at Salzburg and his half time rant. I want to see more of that passion in footy.

Good weekend for me. My English club won. Gladbach won yesterday with a spectacular last minute injury time goal by a sub who'd been on for 100 seconds (and a club favourite). And today i went to watch a 2nd division match which was great because it's a lovely stadium and footy is so much more relaxing when you don't care who wins. Grin

(Do we have a thread anywhere for those of us who are boycotting the World cup, btw? like what people are going to do instead of watching the matches?)

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 06/11/2022 16:43

Could have done with more goals to feel more secure, but we got the win to go back top.

Liverpool leading Spurs! Smile

So far

EddieHowesBlackandWhiteArmy · 06/11/2022 17:01

Hoping Liverpool continue to do us a favour against Spurs.

says something when I’m gutted to concede even one goal. Miggy just can’t stop scoring. And Bruno for the fourth was chefs kiss .

E-I-E-I-E-I-O…🎶

burblish · 06/11/2022 17:32

Watching Spurs v Liverpool on Sky; Dier basically assists Salah’s second goal with one of the biggest defensive blunders of the season so far, so of course what do the pundits do at half time? Take apart TAA’s defending. Seriously, WTAF! I completely acknowledge that Trent isn’t perfect defensively, but there isn’t a single defender in the Premier League (apart from Harry Maguire - and not even the most avid Liverpool hater could argue with that one!) who gets the level of criticism he did. If he had done what Dier did (or Joao Cancelo in the Liv-ManC match), the media would bury him alive for it.

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 07/11/2022 11:50

It's against the narrative. You're not allowed to criticise Sp*rs players, particularly in a World Cup year. Just as Kane's constant fouling and diving is constantly ignored.

Unfortunately, World Cup referees (and players) don't buy into that narrative, so we'll be knocked out in the second round...

WhiteHartLane · 07/11/2022 18:41

@AndNobbyDancing how do you feel about the sacking of Ralph? Hear they are wanting to talk with the Luton Town manager. I thought they may have considered Dyche or someone with similar experience in the PL.

Gills are still in the hat for the draw tonight, just a replay against non-league Flyde to get through next week. Can't see Neil Harris lasting much longer. Who plays a back 5 against non-league ffs

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 07/11/2022 19:09

I suspect a few people here might fancy giving the Opta Million a go...

DuncinToffee · 07/11/2022 19:30

I am feeling quite ambivalent about the world cup. Our uninspiring match probabky didn’t help

I'm not overly enthused by it, particularly given the human rights record of the hosts.

On another note, that twitter.com/stopthatfooty/status/1589704907992403969 David Beckham...

HannibalHeyes · 07/11/2022 19:47

Didn't do that right did I...
