Hugh rather .. !

Oohh err, missus. -Bet some are-

MrsGulDukat · 09/07/2021 21:15

I say nothing.

But I will be so annoyed if Grealish and Foden aint in the starting XI.

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2021 21:15

I've messed up my Huge with my Hugh !

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2021 21:16

Foden to start. ( I know nothing remember )

MrsGulDukat · 09/07/2021 21:18

Kinda sad that it's final game.

I've enjoyed the tournament.

GrealishHairband · 09/07/2021 21:42

Me too. Can’t wait for the World Cup next year. Bit gutted it’s over the winter, won’t feel the same.

I think we’re going to win 3-1 on Sunday. Putting it out there. Placing my order into the universe. I’d love to see Maguire get one. And Grealish. Obvs. And Kane.

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2021 21:48

That'll be weird having the World Cup in November and December next year.
Very odd !!

SomethingOnce · 09/07/2021 21:49

Ok, @the80sweregreat, here’s mine:

Early goal for England and then 70-80 minutes of stomach-churning awfulness until the final whistle

(I also know fuck all.)

MrsGulDukat · 09/07/2021 21:51

How are the domestic leagues gonna work if loads of players are playing for their countries?

Will the leagues have a break?

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2021 21:52

Something once, I hope they do well.
I am not as hopeful as you lot though , but then my glass is always half empty!
I guess that the leagues will have to stop next year ; have a break ?
It will be a bit odd

MrsGulDukat · 09/07/2021 22:00

I wonder if the leagues will start earlier than normal to accomodate the split.

Tiny Football Car is ready for tomorrow

wheresmyhairytoe · 10/07/2021 10:42

How's everyone feeling about tomorrow?
I'm a bag of nerves already and have got Vindaloo, 3 lions, Southgate you're the one and Sweet Caroline on a loop on my head 😂

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 10/07/2021 10:45

trying to not think about it but someone on another thread said "I'd be so proud to see Kane lifting the trophy tomorrow" and that made my stomach tie itself in a knot!
eek!

wheresmyhairytoe · 10/07/2021 10:57

I'm so proud of us just getting to the final.

MrsGulDukat · 10/07/2021 11:07

I wont talk about it.

It sets my nerves on fire.

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 10/07/2021 11:07

I'm a bag of nerves! I can't stop thinking about it. Heaven knows how the players must feel.

So cards on the table - do we think we can win?

Because I genuinely do. I think England are the better team, they communicate better, they're cleaner players and they have unparalleled stamina

Oblomov21 · 10/07/2021 11:08

I am worried they won't win. And then all our recent joy will just home crushing down.

Ok you all - do not forget to breathe - in and out - practice!
I do not want you all to faint during the game Grin

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 10/07/2021 11:12

If that happens it's important to retain perspective - they're the best team we've had in decades and they've brought us to the final for e first time in 55 years. What an amazing feat. I'm bursting with pride.

Not to mention how it's picked the country up. My brother runs a bar with a big screen and because of COVID he's been exceptionally close to folding. England's success in the Euro's has seen a surge in profits for him, he's had to empty a stock room and pop a HD TV in and turn it into an overspill area because he's fully booked and people are desperate to watch the match.

DuncinToffee · 10/07/2021 11:38

The overall feeling I get is that no matter what happens in the final that people are proud of what this team has achieved and the joy it has brought to the majority of people.
A win would be the icing on the cake but a loss wouldn't be a disaster.

DuncinToffee · 10/07/2021 11:42

And actually despite their better track record, the same applies to Italy

Foden injured?

Yes - getting into a final is an achievement in itself, especially for a country that hasn't done that in 55 years. Italy has graced several finals since then but didn't even qualify for the last WC, so getting to the final will be seen as a great achievement there too.

A lot of people say that losing a semi-final is the most painful of all. Everyone remembers finalists, but nobody much cares about who loses a semi-final.
