Just catching up. There have been some excellent posts on here! I'm so nervous and excited for Sunday. Wish I could have Monday off, but I work in a special school so it's not going to happen!

I work a GP surgery. No chance of a day off. Not unless they declare it a bank holiday.

I think I've already mentally braced myself for us losing, but I'm still proud of how well we've done.

It's very hard ty to change mentality when you've watched England so many times! Out if the jaws of victory, we can snatch defeat.

Strangely though, there's something special about this team - not least in part because paradoxically, there is nothing 'special' about them at all.

While I completely agree with the sentiment, I suspect a Lineker lecture won’t help.

England getting punished for it might be enough for people to grow up.

DH and I were talking today and were saying, that in some respects, for us, getting to the final is enough. We don’t expect to win and if we do it’ll be utterly wild.

We'd all need monday off to recover if we do win.

Probably a whole week off.

I was totally useless yesterday. just exhausted and got a very sore throat too. I hate the bottom of the adrenaline roller coaster!

You do know that you do not have to play yourselves?
Shouting at the TV, jumping up and down and biting your nails should not be that exhausting - or did you not practice enough beforehand?

Actually I did choose it , my local team growing up was PSV, I adopted Everton after meeting DH and watch them win the FA cup.
