trying to book - tickets have got through to the requesting stage but time waiting varies between 7 mins then goes back to at least 15 ...I am wasting my energies are there any likelihoods of getting tickets????

just sat constantly refreshing the page as usual and 2 more athletics sessions were released. i clicked immediately and it says ticket limit 0 again! grrrr

29 sessions in all places, down to 14.

We gave up and booked tickets to see the Women's football bronze medal match on Thursday at Coventry. It is nearer to us and my boys are footie mad and really wanted to see something.

What a let down.

Well, from what I have gleaned, drops are usually (I say hesitantly) between 10:30 and 11:30 in the am, then sometimes around 2 - 4 in the afternoon, and it would appear that maybe we expect tomorrow evening's drop to be more like tea-time, so 5pm ?

Gah. I've just been doing other things and have checked back - there were some new tix for the event I wanted (£125 for athletics Fri), but, of course, they are now not available. This is SOOOOOO frustrating.

Seb Coe has just said on tv that there is nothing wrong with the site, it's that there are so many thousand tickets and over 2 million people trying to buy them.

He clearly has no idea how ticketmaster are trying to sell the tickets, putting sessions up then removing them.

Really fed up with it all now, but I'll keep trying for my DCs sake.

Not that I expected him for a minute to admit that ticket sales overall have been a huge farce.

Well, according to Seb, it's all our fault, because too many of us want tickets.

Well, yesterday we could not see any tickets online for todays quarter finale in womens volley ball. DH was able to get tickets while also collecting his football tickets from the box office.

There were massive amounts of empty seats.

Just saw that but knew that was what he was going to say. tbh I am more annoyed that I find myself in this situation after registering an interest 2 years ago and applying for tickets nearly 18 months ago!

Anyone managed to get paralympic tickets recently? I just tried to get some and said was all sold out - or just showing none available actually - so may be doing something wrong? Any tips?

Keep trying! I had tickets from the original ballot and the second big release that I had to give away due to children having chickenpox, so i've spent the last 5 days obsessively trying to buy tickets. I was successful tonight at just after 6pm and got 4 tickets for the hockey tomorrow for a total of £78. The website is shit but you can get lucky.

not trying to get main olympics but paralympics - thought I might have more luck but showing nothing at all available - surely there must be something?

I suspect that once the paralympics start there will be more releases of tickets, like there has been for the Olympics.

I know at the start of the week there were quite a few tickets for all events, if it helps the ticket 'drops' tend to be between 10:30 and 11:30 am, and then between 2 and 4 pm, then anytime from 5pm onwards. It's a pita to keep checking, and it helps to log out then log in again, rather than refresh, so you don't find you have been logged out.

The site seems to release a certain amount of tickets for both games during drops, but oh my word you have to be quick ! And don't get too excited if it goes to 'reserving tickets', with a 2 minute wait, this means nothing !
Then the tickets disappear, only to reappear during the next drop...

Yesterday afternoon there was a big drop of Park tickets, and there were a fair few Excel day passes, depending on what you want...

carrie - I have been trying too, there were loads yesterday for Olympic
Stadium and hardly anything tonight (for other venues) and nothing in the Olympic stadium at all. I wondering if they are slow releasing them...seems strange that they've ALL gone in a day. Keep trying i reckon.

carriemumsnet It says on the news that there are in total 2.5 million Paralympics tickets and they have just sold over 2 million so still half a million tickets left... We bought ours about a month ago and there were tons then. Good luck! I am sure they will release more...
