PLEASE HELP MY FOOT

I'm trying to get rid of a 10 year old verucca. I can't tell if it's going well or not. Wtf is going on! It hurts! I have a hole in my foot!!

I would not be able to resist yanking that out!

My DD had an epic stubborn one on the side of her toe that had resisted all tried and tested methods.
I eventually ignored all the instructions on the freezing pen to do one application, and froze that fucker every day for two weeks.
Finally one day, it went like yours and I gave it another blast and pulled. I will always remember DD(then 7) looking on in horror at the ball of dead verruca in my hand and her yelling "there's a huge hole in my foot". Was most satisfying.

Get that plug out! As others have said a verruca just lies in the surface of your skin so your body is essentially unaware of it. Causing trauma alerts the immune system to do something about it.

I got my husband to yank it out for me 🤢

It’s in the stratum spinosum which is quite far down so they do bleed. Does it bother you that much? If you are too aggressive with it you can get scar tissue that forms a corn regularly.

You can cut them and make them bleed but they still persist. It’s a virus so you will hopefully clear it. The NHS won’t treat them because the chances of treatment working is quite low.

What we really need is for you to hold up the monster one you so brilliantly ripped out next to a familiar sized object to give us an idea of scale. Like a Coke can. And then photograph it...

I was thinking to come back when I'm ready to tackle it! Give me a couple of weeks though... Don't want to put that product anywhere near my foot until this is healed!

I wouldn't use cotton wool as it's an open wound now. Definitely look after it properly so get some proper dressing or a huge Compede blister plaster first thing tomorrow morning.
