KLAXON pea sized lump in earlobe, with pics of course.

I have a lump in my earlobe and I'm not sure what to do. I have had these before, but always in a piercing hole, so could be easily squeezed out of the hole. This is between two holes and will not squeeze no matter how hard i try.

My earlobe is throbbing and painful and I just want it gone now. Getting to the point of jabbing it with a needle as it's affecting my sleep. It has been there for three days now.

As a committed sporner i am frustrated with this as there has been no glorious explosion, no beautiful bursting loveliness, just pain. Help?

I'll get dp to take a better pic when he gets back from the shop and I'll also video any popping attempts.

Hmm I will have to actually source a needle as I don't sew. Ever. Anything else that might do it if you aren't the sewing type?

Have you bathed it in really hot water? Do it 3 or 4 times then see what happens.

Emergency phonecard to dp at the shop to ask him to find a travel sewing kit. It's only a little tesco but you never know they might have one.

How hot are we talking? Am I supposed to melt the ear off or just make it feel cosy?

Erm. I don't have a safety pin either. Right if dp can't find a needle then I'll go out to the proper shop once they open and get one. Can I use a proper sterilising solution for it? I have some left over from dds bottle age.

I went to the GP with this years ago, thinking the back of my earring had gone in. They (GP and nurse) put in a local anaesthetic (which spurted out of the other holes in my ears) and dug around for ages. Never found the back of the earring (I found it in my bed). It calmed down after a few days and the lump disappeared. Sorry for disappointing, non-sporny ending :(

That will do! Good job dp. Just a warning, dp is not a sporner, not at all. He is going to be utterly grossed out while filming but he has agreed to do it.
