This thread is for the Mumsnetters who attended one of the exclusive MN screenings of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 in London or Manchester with their DCs on Sunday 13th October. We hope you all had a great time and enjoyed the film!

"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 picks up where Sony Pictures Animation’s mouth-watering comedy left off. Inventor Flint Lockwood thought he saved the world when he destroyed his most infamous invention - a machine that turned water into food causing cheeseburger rain and spaghetti tornadoes. But Flint soon learns that his invention survived and is now creating food-animals – "foodimals!" Flint and his friends embark on a dangerously delicious mission to battle hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, hippotatomuses, cheespiders and other foodimals to save the world – again!"

To find out more about the film (at cinemas from October 25 with previews 18, 19 & 20th) and watch the trailer, visit the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 pages on Mumsnet

Below are a few questions for you to answer but please do add any other comments you may have.

We'd also love it if you could upload some pictures of your day to this thread.

  • Please give a brief, one sentence review of the film
  • Out of 5, how many stars would you give the film? How many would your DC give it? (5 is highest and 1 is lowest)
  • What was your/your DC's favourite part of the film? Who is their favourite character and why?
  • What did your DCs love best about the day?
  • What did you/your DCs think of the SUBWAY® Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 themed Kids' Pakâ„¢ that your DC received (thanks to the team at SUBWAY)?
  • What was your overall experience of the screening?
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 to friends and family? Why?

Everyone who adds their feedback to this thread will be entered into a prize draw where three winners will each receive a Sony DSC-TF1 cameras worth £159.

Thanks and good luck!

I think I might have to dig out my Mumsnet scarf. Would it be insane to run upstairs and give myself a quick Mumsnet hair cut? Hahahahahaha!

Ok, getting a bit giddy now Grin

In case you can't get a 3G signal could you take a screenshot on your phone of the email? I've printed one at work shhhh but also took a screenshot on my iPod in case I lose the paper version!

Valpollicella · 12/10/2013 23:18

It just says 'please bring this email as your ticket'

Confused
HeadFairy · 12/10/2013 23:27

There is free wifi at Westfield so you should be able access your emails. I will only be able to bring it on my phone as our printer is out of ink too.

ttalloo · 13/10/2013 06:51

I'm not saying DS1 is excited, but he's been up since 6, and his first words were 'it's cloudy day!'.

gazzalw · 13/10/2013 06:57

smileyhappymummy · 13/10/2013 07:05

We all had a brilliant time thanks so much for picking us . It was so worth travelling to Shepherds Bush for. The film was great the whole family loved it and watching it in 3D made it come alive the animation was lovely.

In the opinion of the small tester the film got a 5/5. Adults agreed. It was fantastic to watch a film that was genuinely amusing.
Her favourite bit was the wedgie proof pants bit and her favourite character was Sam Sparks . Adults loved the brown crayon ..Best bit of the day was wearing the 3D glasses and watching the film . Dd enjoyed her subway meal and the bag was especially handy for putting all her goodies into.
The whole day was wonderful we would recommend the film to anyone plus the cinema we went to was brilliant . We want to go back there really soon to see more things in 3D . Thanks so much MM Towers .
