Created for Zapp

Whether it’s loo roll for the hundredth time or the bottle of wine you were really excited for, we want to know the items you need, but always forget to buy at the supermarket.

  • Post your items in the thread below to be entered into a prize draw
  • One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice
Here’s what Zapp has to say:

“Run out of nappies at 3 in the morning? Haven’t had time to go to the shops to pick up dinner? Or simply just need a glass of wine after a long day? Zapp is here to save the day.

Choose from over 2,000 curated items, delivered in 20 minutes or less, with no minimum order value and free delivery over £30. You look after the kids, let Zapp look after you.”

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Squishmael · 15/02/2022 21:08

Paracetamol for me and Calpol for DS

tulips27 · 15/02/2022 21:13

I always forget washing up liquid because I tend to skip that whole aisle!

akindredspirit · 15/02/2022 21:13

I always forget tea bags when I need them. I'm OK on larder staples like tinned tomatoes, beans etc as I buy a few at a time and buy again before I run out. Butter is another thing I forget. The rest of the family are OK with other spreads but I just like butter, so it is me that loses out!

carollingwhenpissed · 15/02/2022 21:16

Soap and toothpaste

tallwivglasses · 15/02/2022 21:26

What is it about tomato puree? I'm glad I'm not the only one who constantly forgets that. And quiche - we all love quiche. Why can't I remember it?

Theimpossiblegirl · 15/02/2022 21:29

I always forget toilet roll because it's right at the end.

ddraig123 · 15/02/2022 21:32

I always remember the essentials like chocolate and booze, but toilet rolls often seem to slip my increasingly sh*y memory!

StickChildNumberTwo · 15/02/2022 21:34

Milk. We don't use that much of it so I always forget to check whether we need more.

ahagwearsapointybonnet · 15/02/2022 21:37

Cleaning stuff. I always forget to check what we already have, so it doesn't get put on the list. Same with the shampoo and conditioner the kids use, they never tell me when it's running low and I don't use it so don't notice!

Privateandconfidentialplease · 15/02/2022 21:46

Bin bags, bread, tea bags and foil. I do hate running out of tea bags....

Startingtomoveon · 15/02/2022 21:47

Herbs and spices - we often don’t have what we need and then forget to buy it the next time we are shopping.

Tin foil

Frozen king prawns - love these for lunches and quick dinners but frequently forget to stock up

Nuts for (fairly) healthy snacks

Florence08 · 15/02/2022 21:50

One ingredient of a recipe. Always.

Taylor1986 · 15/02/2022 22:13

Dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll and loo roll!

ItWasARayGun · 15/02/2022 22:16

Bin bags
Dishwasher tablets
Tea and sugar because only DH uses them

UpEarly · 15/02/2022 22:26

Olive oil, and coarse ground black pepper

BlackishTulips · 15/02/2022 22:48

Cooking oil.
Got home, realised and went straight back for it once and was sent a parking fine, as you are not allowed back in the carpark in a certain time frame Angry

londonmummy1966 · 15/02/2022 22:51

Pesto - I put it in so many things and am always running out. It never seems to be where I think it should be in the supermarket either.

MrsPnut · 15/02/2022 22:53

Milk, my DD drinks 4 pints a day if it’s there. It’s why she is so tall and strong but it doesn’t stop it being a pain.

grannyjacob · 15/02/2022 22:55

Washing up liquid. Milk - I much prefer fresh milk, but always try to keep long life milk in stock as a stand-by, but quite often forget to re-buy it when I’ve used it all.

SkyTrees · 15/02/2022 22:58

Shampoo and tinned tomatoes

wellingtonsandwaffles · 15/02/2022 23:05

Butter, nappies, oats

Thismummyrunstheshow · 15/02/2022 23:07

Tea bags... every damn time! We go through so many yet they are the only things I remember to forget 😂

Lurleene · 15/02/2022 23:10

Marmite - because, in a shop where there are 50 varieties of every other product to choose from, it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Mads96 · 15/02/2022 23:45

I always forget to get baby wipes! I use them quicker than any other baby product so when I don't go down that isle I forget them. They're a must have! Plus going out to the shops with a baby and toddler to grab wipes is not easy so is a pain when I forget them!
