I’m genuinely not just saying this because the feedback is for fitflop - I LIVE in my fitflops in summer! I have 2 pairs and they are so comfortable! I can pair them with anything and they’re a lot more substantial than normal flip flops. Easy to get on and off, easy to walk in and stylish

MadCatLadypuss · 01/08/2019 15:54

I wear walking sandals in summer. They are ugly but so comfortable. I can walk for miles in them.

Clawdy · 01/08/2019 18:21

Any broad fitting sandals, as I seem to be developing a bunion Sad

lunepremiere79 · 02/08/2019 10:06

I wear my trusty Birkenstocks. I have two pairs and they last me all summer long. The most comfortable sandals I have worn by far and so great to see they are back in style!

MargoLovebutter · 02/08/2019 10:56

So, we are asking you what are your absolute must-haves shoes in the summer?

I'm a gimmer, so I've honed this down over the years to the following: smart heeled sandals for going out; manky flip flops for the beach that I can wear into the sea if the beach is pebbly and then take off and use as flippers to swim with, pair of smart FitFlops - my current fave is the iQushion to wear walking around and can also drive in them and a pair of decks also for general wearing around.

My feet are knackered from breaking various bones in them over the years, so I'm always on the look out for stylish comfort. My other absolute top tip for lovely feet in the summer is nail polish on toe nails, which can transform the ugliest of trotters!

Love these

Have to be well fitting a breathable for me.

Thistly · 02/08/2019 18:20

I have never tried fit flops but this year I find I need shoes to walk/ drive in and then bring my sandals to wear at work.

Can you drive in fit flops?

Ps, my tip is nice nail varnish for your toenails... makes your feet look so much nicer even if you don’t have the prittiest feet.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 02/08/2019 21:31

I have walking sandles which are so comfy but not very pretty, or I just wear my trsiners. I hate flimsy footwear and need a bit of support.

PavlovaFaith · 02/08/2019 21:43

So far it's all about the Birkis!

purplepandas · 03/08/2019 08:21

I wear Salties and love them! They last for years and look great.

I love these for comfort and colour. www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/rally-metallic-sneakers-p-X21#323

Dormouse1940 · 03/08/2019 10:32

I currently have one pair of sandals that I am LIVING in this summer.
Robust enough and with enough support that they're comfortable for a lot of walking (well, I say a lot... between this hot weather and being in my 3rd trimester now, I've slowed down a bit lol ;) ).
Versatile- a neutral colour and a style that goes with pretty much everything, from jeans to dresses.

Ok so they're perhaps not the prettiest (and I do usually love something a little daintier and sparkly for summer) but there's always next year- and by then it'll be easier to reach my feet to paint my toenails, too!

Katieraventimeout · 03/08/2019 14:20

I like summer shoes that show my painted toes and are very comfy and last well. I would rather spend a bit more on flip flops etc and they last well.

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 03/08/2019 17:12

I live in Birkenstocks

I suffer with dyshidrotic eczema on my feet and I find these comfortable to wear, have a sandal type feel but cover the foot quite a lot (useful when I have a skin breakout)

Can’t wear dead flat shoes and I have the worst toes so I like a sandal that covers as much of the foot as possible while still being summery. I also have skin so pale a vampire would be jealous so I can’t take too dark a colour against the skin: my fussiness means I don’t have too much choice in the summer Grin.

goldenretriever1978 · 04/08/2019 08:11

Not a fan of sandals and seeing people's, often manky, toes at work but like a pair of classic leather sandals outside of work.

MmmBlowholes · 04/08/2019 09:21

I really struggle to find sandals I like. I dislike toe posts and they also have to be wide fit.

formerbabe · 04/08/2019 09:38

I like a plain canvas pump, sliders and flip flops. Basically anything I can put on quickly. If I'm trying to get myself and kids ready and out the house, I don't like having to take time to fasten my shoes, be it laces or buckles!

WarmHugs · 04/08/2019 13:12

I’m on my feet all day, so need something comfortable for every day wear. And breathable, as my trotters can kick up a stink!

My biggest issue is that these all look like Granny sandals, can they please come up with something stylish too?

ButterflyBitch · 04/08/2019 16:07

I like canvas pumps and rocket dog flip flops. The comfiest flip flops ever. I like fit flops too but they’re so not expensive.
I’m not very good at finding smart comfy sandals though.

alwaysdressedinyellow · 04/08/2019 19:19

I alternate between white trainers which go with pretty much everything I wear, or some
Tesco sandals I bought in the sale a couple of years ago which are just so comfy for walking around in.

Belmo · 04/08/2019 19:23

I wear converse 100% of the time. Like the idea of sandals though, I’ve just never found the perfect ones..

Dedoodoodoo · 04/08/2019 20:22

ooh how have I never noticed the occasionwea seaction. Easy choice at 6 foot , ballerina flats www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/allegro-metallic-ballerinas-p-W61#735. Perfect mix of comfort and ready for a night out.

boptanana · 04/08/2019 23:50

I like comfortable but stylish sandals , I can’t get in with flip flops at all!

Orangepear · 05/08/2019 00:18

I wear Saltwaters now, they are great. I used to wear Birkenstocks and put an old pair on the other day, they felt so clunky and stiff compared to Saltwaters!
