For me, breathable and comfy are the way - particularly as I'm currently pregnant with big hot pregnancy feet! 😂

I love the FitFlop ballerina flats; they're like going barefoot and feel completely light as air. I've had them in every colour.

If I was lucky enough to win, if choose the Annelia sandles in light tan - the spots are so fun!

Ribeebie · 27/07/2019 15:48

I always try to go for comfort now but love to have the odd super stylish ones too.

I generally like flip flops in the day but I've just had a nosy in the website and love the ELYNAs!

I try and pack a nice 'evening pair of sandals' some flip flops and some pumps when I go away so I'm ready for anything!

RosamundButterfly · 27/07/2019 20:44

The holy grail is comfy, flat, walkable-in, look nice, NON-SWEATY summer sandals.

I bought a pair from another brand which make my feet sweat even though they look like they should be airy sandals. I swear my feet would be cooler in trainers, it's odd. I don't really wear them as a result.

Anyway this year I've been living in Havaianas flip flops - even to the office which is not ideal but no one has mentioned it (yet) - just had a browse and I can see that I need to investigate Fitflops, there are tons to choose from which are a bit smarter and give a bit more foot coverage. Bit nervous about the big sole / flatform ones, I feel I would trip over and find them clunky as I'm not used to them.

I like the look of these ones. I think they would look v nice with a summer dress or with black leggings and a black dress or tunic type thing-

I love wearing flip flops all summer long. I love them with a bit of glitter and sparkle

I didn’t realise fitflops did boots but I really like the look of these for autumn!
I wear salt waters all day every day in the summer... I have the biggest saltwater tan line!

Blazedout · 28/07/2019 10:05

I bought my first pair of saltwater sandals and have lived in them so far. They look quite flimsy but I've walked miles in them without a blister. They are so comfortable, I'm going to be getting a few different colours.

ThisMomentIsMyLife · 28/07/2019 14:43

I didn’t know fitflops did boots and I’m excited to see these www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/knot-leather-knee-high-boots-p-Y33#744
As a plantar fasciitis sufferer (and I do suffer) I love to wear my Clark’s boots in black but I’ve been looking for a brownish pair. I live in ballerinas as these can be worn with dresses and the fitflops ballerinas look great. I’ve bought a lovely pair in the sale.

ThisMomentIsMyLife · 28/07/2019 15:10

I’ve bought another pair of ballerinas in pewter but these www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/twiss-leather-ballerinas-p-V13#668
are my favourite because they go with almost all my summer dresses and trousers.

Ninja12345 · 28/07/2019 15:36

I love a sandal or fit flop as I hate having hot feet and both go with skirts/ trousers.

I’d choose something like the MUKLUK suede boots II for autumn/ winter.

sarat1 · 28/07/2019 16:44

Function before style but not at the expense of style!! Fitflops all the way!

Megansmumsie · 28/07/2019 17:22

My favourite summer shoes are a pair of Clarks sandals, they're the roman jesus type ones and they've lasted me about a decade. They're just about showing signs of wear and tear, if they ever break i'd be replacing them with another pair from Clarks. They encase my foot but keep them cool too- perfect for summer walks.

In my suitcase I always chuck a pair of flip flops, my soft body wellies (because they fold) and a pair of pumps. Enough shoes for all weathers and a variety of outfits. I also put my socks and pants inside my wellies and pumps to save space.

ImperfectTents · 28/07/2019 18:01

As a plantar fasciitis sufferer I normally live in fit flop thongs but I was a bit bored with them so got some Airmesh slides this year. And i LOVE them. So light and comfie . I also have fracap sandals I got int he toast sale last year which are stylish and comfortable. Top tip for other plantar fasciitis sufferers, take up yoga.

ImperfectTents · 28/07/2019 18:02

I now have my eye on these www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/sola-palm-print-slides-p-U61#646

Batsypatsy · 28/07/2019 18:17

I pretty much wear Birkenstocks, Madrid bronze, all summer. They're comfy and cool when it's hot.

Having said that, I have my eye on a pair of Barra sandals from Fitflop.

PunkyBubba · 28/07/2019 20:12

I've worn black Skechers wedge sandals with a tiny bit of silver/bling on the straps over the top of my feet for the last 2 summers (bought exactly the same pair this year as last years were looking well worn)

They are comfy, i can wear them day or night and they go with jeans, nice dresses if I want to dress up a bit, etc. Great for holidays as I don't need to pack so many shoes!

Also I have size 8.5-9 feet so usually my choice is limited, but with these being open toed and openbacked I can wear them and even in a size 8 my heel doesn't 'overhang'.

munchbunch12 · 28/07/2019 20:37

My feet are pretty ugly and I wear orthopaedic insoles, so I never wear sandals or flip flops. In summer I live in trainers, and I loved the colours in this pair. I didn't even realise fitflop made trainers until today! www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/carita-sneakers-p-W56#730

onemorecakeplease · 28/07/2019 20:44

I live in flip flops and toe post sandals all summer with the exception of a long walk and then I wear my Skechers go walks

CocteauTwin · 28/07/2019 21:39

As I suffer from plantar fasciitis, I am a huge fan of FitFlops. I especially like shoes and sandals with leather footbeds, and a lot of the shoes and sandals have these. My current favourites are some silver FitFlop skate shoes and I am also wearing some M&S Autograph sandals with adjustable velcro straps, which are great in the hot weather.

Having had a look on the website these shoes caught my eye: www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/klara-uptop-leather-ballerinas-p-Y31#090 - they have a sleek, Scandi look, which fits in with my style, and look super comfortable as well as very stylish.

DamnItsSevenAM · 28/07/2019 21:41

I need orthotic inserts and it's very hard to find summer shoes that can be worn with them! I tend to stick to my one good pair of supportive flip flops (special orthopaedic ones) which are comfortable enough for me to walk long distances in.

mrsglowglow · 28/07/2019 22:02

I am a fan of fitflop sparkly gold sandals. I wear them daytime through to nights out as they are cushioned comfort and cooling for my feet. I have other shoes and sandals but cant bring myself to wear them this Summer.

PickAChew · 28/07/2019 23:50

I hate getting gritty, sticky feet, if I'm on the move, so usually wear a lighter trainer than usual, unless I'm not walking much. My favourite summer pair is actually lacy.

PickAChew · 29/07/2019 00:06

Forgot to link. These would look great with jeans

clpsmum · 29/07/2019 00:31

I actually live and die in fit flops all year round! Flip flops are for life not just for summer!

ifigoup · 29/07/2019 04:37

I wear either clunky K-type sandals from Clarks, which are a bit orthopaedic, or Toms or similar canvas shoes which can get smelly.

Of Fitflop I like the look of www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/lulu-mirror-cross-back-strap-sandals-p-K51#484

PickingUpLicks · 29/07/2019 07:32

I wear Teva sandals, I haven't found anything as comfortable. I walk 5-6 miles a day with the dog, on the beach and to the park, so they take a battering.
