After years of probably having to watch all sorts of wonderful and occasional strange children’s TV shows, it’s hard to not ending up having favourites...whether you love them in secret or not.]] would like to know which children’s shows you are more than happy to watch with your DC and why they’ve become your favourite.

Here’s what ]] have to say: “Now it’s the summer holidays, more and more families are streaming children’s shows such as Shaun The Sheep, My Little Pony, The Penguins of Madagascar and Just Add Magic. It’s great when you find a show that you can enjoy that works for both child and parent, and we would love to know what these shows are for you and your family.”

Has Dora the Explorer been an all-time favourite of yours for years because you end up learning things too? Perhaps you love trying to figure out who the baddy is in Scooby-Doo along with your DC? Maybe seeing Tom & Jerry on the screen always brings back some great nostalgic memories of when you were a child? Or do you love Postman Pat purely for the great theme tune?

Whatever your favourite children’s programme is, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

kingat · 10/08/2018 17:54

I have a 2year old and love watching Bing together. I find him really funny

MiconiumHappens · 10/08/2018 18:02

I'm so sad we've left the Peppa Pig years, especially the ep where all the countries fall out HmmGrin

lyssie29 · 10/08/2018 18:12

I actually really like Bing and also hey duggee.

damag · 10/08/2018 18:20

Kids are well past it now so I deleted all the Ben and Holly episodes. Or so I told them, I secretly kept my favourites Blush

No 1 for me "mutiny, mutiny on the Bunty"

RhubarbAndCustards · 10/08/2018 18:24

I love Ben and Holly - the dynamic between Nanny Plum and the Wise Old Elf. I’m also a fan of Masha and the Bear. Now she’s growing up I’m missing them!

whattimeislove · 10/08/2018 19:08

Hey Duggee, Swashbuckle, Operation Ouch & Horrible Histories - I'll happily watch these when the kids are out!

duck22 · 10/08/2018 19:18

Fireman Sam and Paw Patrol

Blizy · 10/08/2018 19:58

I'm another lover of Ben and holly, I will
Be sad when my ds no longer watches it!

NastyCats · 10/08/2018 20:27

Another one for Horrible Histories. My children don't watch that much mainstream tv so I don't think they actually get all the references to other tv programmes but I do!

MelanieSmooter · 10/08/2018 21:27

I know it makes me a sad bastard, but I love Topsy & Tim! Reminds me of when DD was small and loved it.

Also love Ben & Holly, Horrible Histories is fantastic and have a soft spot for Horrid Henry.

We all rather enjoy ‘Do You Know’ on CBeebies recently, it’s really interesting.

Hopezibah · 10/08/2018 22:05

Charlie and lola - my all time fave!!! ever!!! no secret either - i will happily tell everyone how much i love it!

Theimpossiblegirl · 10/08/2018 22:24

I get sucked into kids tv and find myself still watching stuff when the kids leave the room.
I love Wizards of Waverly Place, it's quite funny. :)

annieno1 · 10/08/2018 22:48

Mines is horrid Henry

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 10/08/2018 23:37

I have a nostalgic crush on Scooby Doo, an irrational love of Poke on and a weird affection for that programme called Boo from when DS1 was a toddler

mermaidsandunicorns · 10/08/2018 23:43

Horrible histories is brilliant I will quite happily stay and watch it if my dc have gone somewhere else

Beansonapost · 11/08/2018 02:20

Go jetters.

Both children love it! We got all the character toys for them at Christmas.... they still enjoy playing with them.

1969angep · 11/08/2018 07:23

Ben and Holly! (Even some episodes of Peppa Pig make me chuckle!)

ShatnersBassoon · 11/08/2018 07:32

I find cartoons like Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball funny.

I miss the Show Me Show Me days Sad. TV was so comforting back then.

Jenala · 11/08/2018 09:28

We love Hey Duggee. All the little random characters and voices and film references mean parts of it are actually entertaining for me too. Plus it's short!

EsmeeMerlin · 11/08/2018 09:57

I always liked fifi and the flowerpots when my son was younger. I also liked the majority of shows on Disney junior.

We have moved past all that now and it’s all power rangers, Spider-Man and Pokemon.

jacqui5366 · 11/08/2018 10:48

Oh there are so many that I will sit and watch, but If I had to pick a favourite it would have to be Andy's Dinosaur Adventures, it's fun, informative. The adventures keep me intrigued and we love to have dinosaur games with the toys afterwards.

Montydoo · 11/08/2018 10:55

We have lots of DVD's of Postman Sam (before the CGI series) so we love Charlie Pringle, Reverend Timms and of course Jess - and that welcoming theme tune which gives you a 'warm fuzzy'

wilbyroo · 11/08/2018 11:00

I love watching Ben and holly Blushlove nanny plum and the wise old elf!

itsonlysubterfuge · 11/08/2018 11:11

We really love watching most of my DD's programmes. I think my faovrites are the ones with catchy music. I love the sweet characters and way they learn new things. Some of our favorites are Wallykazam (Bob Goblin is so funny!) and Spongebob Squarepants, I use to watch this in my teens and enjoy it, so now I enjoy it with my DD.
