This activity is now closed

After years of probably having to watch all sorts of wonderful and occasional strange children’s TV shows, it’s hard to not ending up having favourites...whether you love them in secret or not.]] would like to know which children’s shows you are more than happy to watch with your DC and why they’ve become your favourite.

Here’s what ]] have to say: “Now it’s the summer holidays, more and more families are streaming children’s shows such as Shaun The Sheep, My Little Pony, The Penguins of Madagascar and Just Add Magic. It’s great when you find a show that you can enjoy that works for both child and parent, and we would love to know what these shows are for you and your family.”

Has Dora the Explorer been an all-time favourite of yours for years because you end up learning things too? Perhaps you love trying to figure out who the baddy is in Scooby-Doo along with your DC? Maybe seeing Tom & Jerry on the screen always brings back some great nostalgic memories of when you were a child? Or do you love Postman Pat purely for the great theme tune?

Whatever your favourite children’s programme is, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

Hey Dugee 😄

LoudBatPerson · 13/08/2018 18:12

Horrible histories, we bare bears, regular show, adventure time, the amazing world of gumball.....,, the list is probably a little too long.

Minnibix · 13/08/2018 18:15

I love all of the children's cartoons even though I say I am only putting the TV on for the kids, I watch them all

Kennylou12 · 13/08/2018 19:51

I love in the night garden! It's so relaxing and happy to watch!

originalusernamefail · 13/08/2018 20:49

Katie Morag, and Bing! I’d love to be as patient a parent as Flop Grin

ineedwine99 · 13/08/2018 21:04

Sofia the first! Love it Grin

Reastie · 13/08/2018 21:04

I quite like watching that marry mum and Dad program and junior bake off and the do you know programme that shows how things are made. I also like watching my old favourite shows on dvd with dd which aren’t on any more eg maid Marion and her merry men.

ineedwine99 · 13/08/2018 21:08

Scooby do mysteries, was totally hooked I watched them once my daughter was in bed so I wouldn't be interrupted

TiggersAngel7774 · 13/08/2018 21:34

peppa pig except when same episode over and over

GrooveHeart · 13/08/2018 21:48

I've always liked Ben and Holly. I also like the cooking programme on CBeebies with Katie but can't remember what it's called!

pugalugs90 · 13/08/2018 22:07

I actually enjoy in the night garden because it means bed time!! The music is pretty soothing too. I'm sure it wouldn't take much for me to fall asleep to the bedtime story after

Helbelle75 · 13/08/2018 22:14

Let's play and biggleton are the ones I like watching with my daughter. The next step is my guilty secret though!

whitsunfells · 13/08/2018 22:38

Katie Morag 😊 Makes me all warm inside and introduced my son to his (and my) favourite song - The Wellie Boot song! Grannie Island's version is a bit cleaner than Billy Connelly's though 😂

ihearttea · 13/08/2018 23:55

I love Sarah & Duck, Hey Duggee and Ben & Holly. I'd gladly carry on watching any of those when the kids have wandered out of the room!!

TheExamStartsNow · 14/08/2018 02:55

Mr Bean is one that all 4 of us can sit together and happily watch, and usually have us all in hysterics.

SmallBee · 14/08/2018 06:36

I get really into My Little pony, friendship is magic. My DD lost interest in it right after an episode with a huge cliff hanger and I'm debating whether to just watch it without her!
. Other favourites are Sarah and Duck, Hey Duggee and Pocoyo.

KlutzyDraconequus · 14/08/2018 07:25

@SmallBee

You totally should watch it without her. It a great show with decent stories rounded characters and a great core message...

Plus.. Discord.. one of the best TV characters in the history of tv. (Tho I'm biased...)

Friolero · 14/08/2018 07:35

I love Shaun the Sheep, often watch this with the DC, some of it is very funny.

Thamesis · 14/08/2018 08:41

Peppa Pig! Love the holiday episodes. Also Charlie and Lola.

Helsbells68 · 14/08/2018 10:13

I love watching children's films even if I am on my own.

mollymoo818 · 14/08/2018 10:54

Scooby Doo for me. I loved it myself as a kid and watching it now brings back so many good memories and to be completely honest I find it just as enjoyable as an adult as I did as a child.

GrouchingTiggerHiddenSomething · 14/08/2018 11:51

When they were younger I quite liked Peppa Pig and Shaun the Sheep but now they are older we enjoy Horrible Histories, Phineas and Ferb and The Amazing World of Gumball together. In fact we were listening to (singing along to!) the P&F CD in the car earlier

helly27 · 14/08/2018 12:37

Curious George the monkey

littlemonkeyz · 14/08/2018 12:55

Mr Bloom for obvious reasons. Also, I really love Hey Duggee as it's so funny. That's about as far as my tolerance stretches really. Even Nanny Plum is wearing a bit thin.

pearfect · 14/08/2018 12:58

We watch the Tom and Jerry episode "The Missing Mouse" on repeat and cry with laughter every time.

DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT
