This activity is now closed

After years of probably having to watch all sorts of wonderful and occasional strange children’s TV shows, it’s hard to not ending up having favourites...whether you love them in secret or not.]] would like to know which children’s shows you are more than happy to watch with your DC and why they’ve become your favourite.

Here’s what ]] have to say: “Now it’s the summer holidays, more and more families are streaming children’s shows such as Shaun The Sheep, My Little Pony, The Penguins of Madagascar and Just Add Magic. It’s great when you find a show that you can enjoy that works for both child and parent, and we would love to know what these shows are for you and your family.”

Has Dora the Explorer been an all-time favourite of yours for years because you end up learning things too? Perhaps you love trying to figure out who the baddy is in Scooby-Doo along with your DC? Maybe seeing Tom & Jerry on the screen always brings back some great nostalgic memories of when you were a child? Or do you love Postman Pat purely for the great theme tune?

Whatever your favourite children’s programme is, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

Oh reading these comments have made me feel like I'm not the only one to be watching kids TV long after the child has left the room haha. I really enjoy Sponge Bob, Swashbuckle and Show Me, Show Me are the ones I like to watch along with a little Teletubbies thrown in here and there... but ssshhh don't tell the kids :)

I love Charlie and Lola. Ben and Hollie ( love nanny plum) Sarah and Duck, Peppa pig, and Fireman sam and if I am honest quite a few more.

Spongebob Squarepants has been a firm favourite with all of mine, thankfully me and the husband enjoy it too! That and In the night Garden.. I don't know why, I think its the sweet plinky music and the nonsensical words, the kids love it, which in turn I suppose makes me smile and enjoy it with them. :-)

My two absolute favourites are Hey Dugee (doesn't everyone love this?!) and SpongeBob SquarePants- always guaranteed to raise a few sniggers (Sandy Cheeks the Sauirrel and the town of Bikini Bottom for starters) and the fact they always get celebrities to star as voice overs never ceases to surprise me!

Octonauts and Ben and Holly.

TufVoyaging · 13/08/2018 09:21

Our children were not allowed to watch Gortimer Gibbon or Just add Magic without us as we didn't want to miss an episode. OH also rescued a Wiggles DVD from the charity shop pile during a clear out recently, because the "songs are really good"

Used to enjoy Charlie and Lola and Maisy Mouse when the girls were small. I used to always wonder where the parents were in Charlie and Lola? He always seemed in charge!
Now they are older I must admit to being oddly invested in whether the dance company from The Next Step would make it to Nationals!!!Grin

I don't mind Trolls or Hey Duggee

I secretly really enjoy 64 Zoo Lane Blush DB loves it when he was small. We used to sit and watch it together before he went to bed. Friday and Saturday I go to sleep with the theme song in my head.

I was quite upset this weekend - DH and I have had food poisoning so DS went to stay with my mum. 6 o'clock came around, and I was sitting on the sofa and felt a bit lost not having him as an excuse to watch it!

muppet1501 · 13/08/2018 10:43

Brilliant show.
Embarrassingly i don't even have children to blame watching it on.

OfIceAndFire · 13/08/2018 13:39
