Receiving a card - be it for your birthday, Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Father Days or Easter - that has been specially made just for you can be both heartwarming and humorous...especially if you have a young DC who writes the first thing that comes to their minds. So Card Factory would love you to share the best/funniest personalised cards you’ve ever received.

Here’s what Card Factory have to say: “We know how important finding the right card can be when it comes to celebrating all of life’s moments. This is why we have put together a fab, exclusive range of personalised cards from only 99p! Made and designed by us – with those finishing touches added by you - get great quality without breaking the bank.”

Did a loved one root out some really old and perhaps slightly embarrassing photos of you to plaster all over the card? Maybe your DC wrote a message that was hilariously unfiltered but oh so sweet? Or have you ever received a card that brings back so many great memories every time you read it?

Add your comment to the thread below and everyone will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

My older sister did a fab card for Christmas, it was a collage of old Christmas photos of us and our parents. Brought back so many brilliant memories!

I got one from my sons once, which was a long thin card that you could open out. It had their hand-prints on it, and some pictures that they had drawn.
I put up on the wall straight-away, and its been there ever since.
It always brings a smile to my face whenever i see it.

A couple of years ago my husband gave me card for my birthday which read "To my wonderful wife on my anniversary". At least we are married :)

emms88 · 19/02/2018 10:59

No one has ever sent me a personalised card before but I buy them for close friends and family.

shellywkd · 19/02/2018 11:05

My daughter made me a Beauty and the Beast card with Potts of Love so cute

moneypenny66 · 19/02/2018 11:24

The best personalised card I've had was from my son. He made an anniversary card with my favourite photo of all of us dressed up in our finery for a party. It was a lovely surprise and a novel way to keep the memory going many years later.

Our son used to love drawing and had a cartoon style. For our anniversary he made us a fabulous card. Dad was alarmingly well endowed - talking to him about how lovely the card was he pointed out that he had included Dads penknife as he loved that dad could always fix things!! Such a lovely thing and not at all what we had first thought ☺️

Our family in Australia always send beautiful cards with photos of their children on. My DH hates them (each to their own) but I cut out the pics and frame them as they are gorgeous.
I've some lovely homemade cards from the DCs when they were younger- one that makes me cry every time is from when DS1 was around 8 for Mother's Day and it reads "I love you so much my heart will break". Welling up now...

My husband did a personalised Valentines card for me this year written entirely in our one-year-old's incomprehensible baby talk (incomprehensible to anyone but us anyway), most people would probably think it was pure nonsense but I loved it!

sheilads105 · 19/02/2018 11:59

My daughter made one fore me for Mother's Day saying "Practically Perfect" So sweet!

The best Birthday I ever received was from my daughter. She found one that you could record your own message that played when the card was opened. When I heard her voice say Happy Birthday Mum I will love you forever I must admit I shed a liitle tear or two. Needless to say tht one will be kept forever.

lizd31 · 19/02/2018 12:33

My sister had a personalised card in the form of a newspaper headline for my 50th birthday saying
SCANDAL! Liz D turns 50!!! New investigation into her real age. Liz D, Aunt of the famous Pablo D, was under investigation over allegations she is much younger than she claims. Liz's cosmetic sponsors denied any involvement but revealed they were shocked & saddened that their anti-age creams might not work.

iut044 · 19/02/2018 12:44

I can't rememeber every receiving any personalised cards.

IKnowWhenThatHotlineBling · 19/02/2018 13:03

Ive just had my birthday and received a great card with a picture of a burger on it and said 'Have a whopping birthday.

I love cards like this as they are personal and the person knew about my love for fast food! It always feels like the person gets you and has really made an effort and i am the same...

I love buying a card that is personal to the person - whether its a picture on it or their name on it - i love making someone smile with a fab card! xx

glennamy · 19/02/2018 13:03

Not had a personalised card but my Auntie always puts how old I am but never gets it right, she has been out as much as 10 years... it has now become a family joke :)

socat · 19/02/2018 13:15

I like to send photo cards. Comedy theme or newspaper headlines type.

I've never received a personalised card!

sootyo · 19/02/2018 13:23

Best card was the one my hubby bought me last birthday. The card itself was nothing special, it was just that it was the first one he has ever given me.

southernsun · 19/02/2018 13:24

A birthday day card with a photo of me and our son on, loved it!

lalalauren416 · 19/02/2018 13:24

I've never had or bought a personalised card but I like to buy blank ones so I can personalised the message. My best friend from school usually writes a memory from our childhood in cards she sends me and they always make me smile!

OhBergine · 19/02/2018 13:34

A friend once sent me this one after I helped her out with a couple of jobs - I don't think it's meant to be me (at least I hope not!) but y did make me laugh!!!

RACHELSMITH45 · 19/02/2018 13:35

My sister always makes the best personalised cards! She often makes the kids ones with some that include holiday photos/special occasions. They love it.

happysouls · 19/02/2018 13:35

I've never received one but I did make some for Christmas one year. The cards said on the front "for christmas I would have liked to get you this" and I cut out photos from catalogues of the gifts I would have bought if I'd got money! inside it said "but I don't have any money so I got you this" and there was an envelope attached with a little sheet of bubble wrap in it. Everyone likes popping bubble wrap!

mooota1514 · 19/02/2018 14:07

My friend sent me a Birthday card addressed to 'Herin' instead of my real name which is Erin. I know it doesn't sound that funny but it made me giggle at the time. X

georgiesuz · 19/02/2018 14:22

My son wrote a happy easter card to the whole family and put I love you lots (not you Lyla) in brackets Lyla is his older sister.

vonniebab2 · 19/02/2018 14:26

My friend sent me a personalised card that was lovely only trouble is she put the wrong age!
