Receiving a card - be it for your birthday, Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Father Days or Easter - that has been specially made just for you can be both heartwarming and humorous...especially if you have a young DC who writes the first thing that comes to their minds. So Card Factory would love you to share the best/funniest personalised cards you’ve ever received.

Here’s what Card Factory have to say: “We know how important finding the right card can be when it comes to celebrating all of life’s moments. This is why we have put together a fab, exclusive range of personalised cards from only 99p! Made and designed by us – with those finishing touches added by you - get great quality without breaking the bank.”

Did a loved one root out some really old and perhaps slightly embarrassing photos of you to plaster all over the card? Maybe your DC wrote a message that was hilariously unfiltered but oh so sweet? Or have you ever received a card that brings back so many great memories every time you read it?

Add your comment to the thread below and everyone will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

The funniest card I have ever received was a Mother's Day card from my little boy who drew a picture of a dog and wrote I love Dogs on the front!

glenka · 19/02/2018 07:11

I've never had a personalised card before.

barbsbarbs · 19/02/2018 07:11

my sister sent me a card she made herself for my 40th birthday. She's cut out my head from a photo and stuck it on a stunning models birthday. It said 'you may be 40 but your still as stunning as ever.'

My mate always sends naff Christmas cards and holiday postcards which he jazzes up by adding captions or speech bubbles. They're usually hilarious but it must take him ages to think them up.

emmav6 · 19/02/2018 07:44

don't think i've had one before but i love to send them! the children are always amazed to see their names/photos on them

strawberrisc · 19/02/2018 07:47

My daughter is now 14 and for my last birthday my parents personalised a card pictures of us both on. For once though they weren't the 'cute' pictures, they were pictures of all the crazy things we have done throughout her life. I love it so much it's still on display!

For my fortieth I got a card with a collage of pictures of me over the years - a great idea but some of the fashions were horrendous!

muppet1501 · 19/02/2018 08:01

My bf brought me one that was a large tanker reversing and it basically saying it was full of wine. He must have thought i drank a lot haha. He was wrong!

sofieellis · 19/02/2018 08:12

My little dog sent me a birthday card last year. It had a photo of her on the front and was addressed to Mummy. I've kept it, as it's so cute. I do think my sons may have had something to do with organising it!

I once received a Valentines card from a friend's dog - the dog hated me and used to growl and chase me, so it was doubly daft!

mollymoo818 · 19/02/2018 08:18

I love personalised cards it just makes me feel so special to know that someone has gone to the effort of getting me something personal instead of just grabbing a card in a shop.
The best one I ever received was from one of my oldest friends who managed to find some old pictures of us throughout the years and got them made into a card with a collage on the front of it. I still cherish that card and have it in my memory box.

prwilson · 19/02/2018 08:29

I received one that was made out like a faux magazine cover, but it had photos of my mum's cats posing for the pictures for the "features".

lulumajor · 19/02/2018 08:35

I've never had a personalised card I don't think!

I've never received a funny personalised card but my daughter makes the most beautiful cards and I save all those. The best being one she sent me when I was in hospital after an accident, it made me feel very loved.

phillie1 · 19/02/2018 08:50

Never received a bought personalised card, but my 2 girls have made me some wonderful ones over the years

AR2012 · 19/02/2018 08:55

I haven't received personalised cards. But the notes in my birthday cards are kept as mementos.

xcxcsophiexcxc · 19/02/2018 09:00

MY partner made me a card for my birthday , he really catered it to me cheesy tastes. It was pink and he drew a unicorn on it , left me a cheesy message inside etc .
There's nothing better than a car that really sings to you rather than a generic happy birthday with a buch of balloons or flowers on it etc

lotte321 · 19/02/2018 09:12

For my 40th, my kids organised a personalised birthday card - one of the huge ones, complete with lots of photos of me when I was about 10 and sporting a bowlcut!!!

maryandbuzz1 · 19/02/2018 09:28

A good few years ago I came home to find yellow stains on my living room carpet. I realised a couple of days later how they had got there when I opened my mothers Day Card to find a tiny yellow foot print that had been added by my son of a few months old.

mo3733 · 19/02/2018 09:40

having hand made cards off my daughters has been the most special gift i have been given and i have kept them all

janeyf1 · 19/02/2018 10:01

The best personalised card I ever received was a photo on the front of me as a little girl, being held by my father - reminding me what a dumpling I was all those years ago!

juju3 · 19/02/2018 10:08

At the height of the Muppet show (many years ago), someone send me a photo card where I was wearing a green xmas/party hat - I suppose better than a miss piggy one

hiddenmichelle · 19/02/2018 10:26

I love personalised cards. So much nicer than a random one that has little meaning. I loved getting a newspaper style one with me as the star!

nettymay · 19/02/2018 10:44

After my Dad died Mum sent me a birthday card and inside was a letter she had received from him during his time in India in the army. I had just been born and it said - "I can't wait to get home to my 2 beautiful girls" I cried my eyes out!
