Receiving a card - be it for your birthday, Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Father Days or Easter - that has been specially made just for you can be both heartwarming and humorous...especially if you have a young DC who writes the first thing that comes to their minds. So Card Factory would love you to share the best/funniest personalised cards you’ve ever received.

Here’s what Card Factory have to say: “We know how important finding the right card can be when it comes to celebrating all of life’s moments. This is why we have put together a fab, exclusive range of personalised cards from only 99p! Made and designed by us – with those finishing touches added by you - get great quality without breaking the bank.”

Did a loved one root out some really old and perhaps slightly embarrassing photos of you to plaster all over the card? Maybe your DC wrote a message that was hilariously unfiltered but oh so sweet? Or have you ever received a card that brings back so many great memories every time you read it?

Add your comment to the thread below and everyone will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

My DH forgot to get me a card for Christmas once and drew one in a hurry for me, in crayon. I laughed for about 3 days, he has the drawing capabilities of a donkey.

One that has gone down in family history is my sister doing a card in school for mum, everyone else brought out cards with these lovely messages and poems, my mum was handed one that said 'mum, I love you more than cheese, sister' the teacher told my mum that it was the talk of the staff room and had given them all a laugh

To be fair, my sister really loves cheese Grin

My best one was made by dd2.

Remus that card is amazing and funny.

Did your DD draw it herself?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/02/2018 15:01

Thanks, Hygge. Yep - art student!

Hygge · 04/02/2018 15:24

She's very talented.

I'd have been delighted to receive that card, and I'd definitely buy one to send to my brother on his birthday.

I received a get will soon card with a picture of a person with drips attached liked optics, labled prosecco, etc, it cheered me up.

My friend is a massive Richard Burton fan. We have spent many a wine-fuelled evening singing along raucously to McArthur Park. You know, the one that goes 'Someone left the cake out in the rain. I don't think that I can take it, cos it took so long to make it, and I'll never have that recipe again, oh nooooo!"

One year I sent him a personalised card with a picture of a birthday cake in a rainstorm and just the caption underneath, "Bugger." He nearly wet himself.

Rigbyroo · 05/02/2018 14:02

Not really been sent any funny ones but personalised cards with pictures of family are always welcome and I just love getting them.

BananaDaiquiri · 05/02/2018 20:58

A group of work colleagues made me a huge board game card for my birthday once. Saying things on the squares like "change into scary micro skirt and go forward three spaces to hit the bar!" (as I liked showing off my pins when I was younger) and "oops you threw up after a jagerbomb, go back two squares". Also had pictures of people I liked on it, rugby players etc, ridiculous things I said in the past etc. Best and funniest card ever.

Hmumto3 · 05/02/2018 21:10

The best was on my last birthday got a personalised card with a picture of the whole immediate family one of the rarest picture EVER. It's the one and only picture of all the family together always puts a smile on my face as I live quite far from them

Quietvoiceplease · 05/02/2018 21:48

The homemade ones from my children are always the loveliest by a long way. The birthday card I received from my then 5 year old DD - using her newly acquired handwriting - in which she wrote you're "my best mummy so far".

I love the personalised ones I've had from friends with funny captions and my name.

crazymumofthree · 05/02/2018 21:57

My aunt send my son a moon pig card for his 8th birthday, it was a 'front cover' of a sports magazine with his name and little clips about his golf 'career' etc. I will never forget his little face when he opened it, he couldn't believe it and thought it was real! It's now framed on his bedroom desk!

colleenw · 06/02/2018 13:16

My favorite card was my first mother's day card from my first born and had the picture of us on the day she was born. I have the original photo up in her room.

Marie1276 · 06/02/2018 13:35

Received a personalised birthday card for my 35th birthday by my elder brother,it was so beautiful but it was my 1st and last one sadly. As he passed away in terrible conditions just 3 years after.Miss him a lot and i still have his card 6 years on :(

DuskPanda · 06/02/2018 14:41

My favourites are the ones the kids draw themselves be they scribbles or works of art.

kateandme · 06/02/2018 21:25

I love the cards me and my brother get for eachother.we always try to find the funniest.most nicely offensive ones possible :)

k2p2k2tog · 06/02/2018 22:06

After I had a fairly major operation and was recuperating at home, I got a get well card from my husband's work with his head photoshopped onto a doctor.

Quite a terrifying prospect, tbh.

CoffeeOrSleep · 07/02/2018 09:47

The only personalised card I've had was from DH for our 10th anniverary and was a photo one of our friends snapped of us on the dance floor at our wedding reception. He said he looked at all the 'proper' photos, but after a decade, the one where we're a bit drunk, his jacket and tie have been abandoned, my hairdo has long since given up and my make up is on the slide, but we just looked really happy was the one he liked the best. Got to say, he called it right !

Candyperfumegirl · 07/02/2018 10:36

My sister sent me a lovely birthday card from moon pig with a photo on the front from a nice day out we had had a few weeks before .

Hopezibah · 07/02/2018 12:29

I remember a funny one about fathers day and getting your good looks from your dad - can't remember the exact wording but i remember it making me laugh at the time.

I love how you can get people's individual characteristics into a personalised card - my sister used to have a shower obsession so remember doing one about showers for her once.

confusedofengland · 07/02/2018 16:40

Not a personalised card - I don't know if I've received one of those before - but DH & I received an anniversary card which made us chuckle. It was our 10th wedding anniversary & we went for a special weekend away in London. DH had mentioned the occasion when booking, so the hotel had, very kindly left us a card, some flowers & a fruit basket. The card wished us a very happy 30th wedding anniversary Grin This was particularly funny as we were only 36 & 37 at the time Grin

Winningbeauty · 07/02/2018 18:19

Never received a personalised card but my sister always buys beautiful cards, that's her thing.

Last Christmas we sent personalised cards of our new family which everyone loved!

PJ04JCW · 07/02/2018 21:22

I got a gorgeous home made birthday card from a friend with Mrs O on it in scrabble letters Smile
