You need to write a message in journal asking for it to go decision maker for back payment you couldn’t let them know earlier has you only just found out

You can also add carers elements by saying you care for your child over 35 hours a week by doing it the same change method then go to your journal and ask for the carers and disability elements to be backdated to the beginning of award. The back pay usually takes weeks but they will update all previous awards when they backdate anyway

who do I send that message to my work coach I’ve made the change to my daughters name and put DLA on it I’m new to all this

If you press journal on your account it will take you total he page and there is a green button that says add a journal entry and a list and it will say send a message to work coach on that list

You need put something like this

my child was awarded mrc/Lrm from 6/2 and I was told the decision 30/4 please can you send this to a decision maker to back date the disability child element to 6.2 the reason for late reporting is that it’s took until now to get a decision

Do you mean you want to be on carers allowance? Carers elements you can do regardless but when you claim carers allowance it gets taken off your uc so you would need to carers element on there too so your not out of pocket

Yea I want to add elements to my claim also want to be her Carrer I made the change of circumstances to her now getting dla but I have no idea how to do the rest I don’t have a work coach so my journal isn’t looked at should I go up the jobcentre ?

I’m not assigned to 1 work coach I normally get 3 different people message me on there

I think it will be September time when we all hear in the march dates..I’m also having to move out my rented house into a council one once I get a successful bid but that can take time so will have to go into temporary housing as LL as applied for a possessions order now so I hope I get given enough time to change my address with DLA as I don’t want any letters coming here

For all u waiting I rang last week and they said I’m no way near the top and it’s not with anyone to getting a decision the week after so it can change to quickly x
